Anybody knows about the censorship in Japan?:huh::huh:
I watched Detective Conan recently, they even hid the burned corpse. What was shown is just the smoke. In the past, this series was supper creepy.

Heh, I'd like to see "floating" odango, i.e odango detached from the head but still constantly staying close to both sides of the head - I think it'd look cool!
they already did skeletal odango in the OG anime, right? This would be a good step up front that :P
In fact, there're actual (comedic) scenes of detached odango in the 90s anime - I don't have the screencaps at hand, but I'm pretty certain there're such scenes. lol

There is, I actually just watched that episode recently. It's in the latter half of classic but can't remember which one. It might've been the family vacation one but could be wrong. It was around there though.

Detective Conan is a kid show though, there are different regulations for daylight and nighttime shows. I know that some channels have their own regulations as well, like not show smoking or drinking. So it is not the same and depends on sponsors and broadcasters I guess. But in the past they were a lot less strict. Like Kindaichi Shounen, it has a lot of corpses, it is all about murders and was a daylight show as well. I like it way better than Conan and hope for more anime, while reading the manga.

Back on the topic I cannot see them doing anything of the Naoko melting with this designs. Of course they can pull it, but they ain't Shaft.

And a bit of a rant, so Pretty Cure film can be released in Octomber, but Eternal couldn't :( It is need not about the safety of people....

It happens in R as well. In the episode where Sailor Moon is at Chibi-Usa's school. When she's hiding with Chibi-Usa and the droid (it's the two brother droids) tries to hit her in the face, she ducks and her odangos detach when she ducks. Quite funny.

They moved this year Healin' Good Precure's movie that was supposed to premiere in October 2020 to next year in 2021 (Most likely in March after Eternal is done). It's clear everyone is prioritizing movies that were supposed to premiere when COVID hit. The Precure Miracle Leap movie was supposed to premiere in March, so it makes sense that it's a priority and getting an October showing.

What is the usual wait between a Pretty Cure movie release in cinemas and the dvd/blu ray release. I guess there is some average time space. 4 months? 6? I just wonder because they will treat Eternal similarly.

I hope that you're being sarcastic about the censorship as well as the target audience remarks. If they wanna buy makeup ...whats it to anybody, anyway? They probably bought enough plastic **** for the franchise as kids, they may as well get use out of their money as adults.
Yes, I thought that was clear ^^

But it seems sometimes like Sailor Moon (Crystal) gets a niche franchise treatment, even though it’s super popular.

Sailor Moon was/is one of the official Olympic Games mascots, right? I wonder how visible she will be and if they will create special content and art in this context. Maybe she will appear, next to Goku & Co. during the opening ceremony? Imagine the boost for the franchise.

"The lack of smoking scenes is simply due to modern regulations," Takaya wrote. "Because this is based on an older work, it's content was a result of a different era." She went on to add some additional notes regarding the anime's most recent episode. For instance, she explained that the similarities between Yuki and Akito's hairstyles are intentional but she has some trouble remembering exactly where it originated.

Natsuki Takaya (she is oh so fabricating)

Really goes to show you that this is an animation issue, rather than a design issue.
That’s so unfortunate to Kazuko Tadano for giving us lovely character designs and ten not having them translated well enough. I would enjoy the transformation much more if there was more detail especially since it’s very simple it’s shouldn’t be a question.
