Well there is one scene from the manga I'm hoping they cut for part 2 .

How in the world did Mamoru not get a flaming chain to the chest?:wtf:
I am confused.... Surely there was a Crescent Soul heading straight for him in the next panel?

Then again considering how Crytsal's Season 3 Minako is reduced to a fangirl and Rei is still Ami 2.0, one of them would just get hearts for eyes and the other would run to the fire wondering if their will be more slaps awaiting her in the future.

Manga Rei would never allow a man to hit her—I think an exception would be if she were under some spell and the spell needed to be broken.

Why, again, did Mamoru hit them? What was the context?

They all, except Mamoru, fell into a nightmare, in which we have the grosteque melting Sailor Moon. It's Golden C[rystal that saved him from the nightmare.

We have the first glimpse of Eternal Sailor Moon here

Hmm, then I think they wouldn’t retaliate against the future King of the Earth because he helped them see the truth. Context is everything.

Rei is closer to Ami in spirit in the manga, that is the vibe I always got. I think Crystal got that part right and I especially like the scene when Rei shows her powers to Jadeite before becoming a senshi in season 1.

Minako has a cheerful personality and we got to see that in Crystal season 3. She wanted to be an idol in the Sailor V manga, she continues wishing to be a idol. That did not change.

I really wanna see how she will look in motion for the movie in this. I always imagined it was so hard for her to move around or hide with the huge wings sometimes.

About the stiff transformation of Usagi and Chibi-Usa, do you think the reason is that they want to save money, because they will have instant transformation later times?

probably. precure movies usually only include one transformation sequence per character, even if these characters transform multiple times (and they almost always do), and i'm sure toei will keep that rule for crysternal. whether they decide to include some fun instant real-time transformations or just have them transform off camera and just show up in senshi form the next scene, i don't know, but i'm gonna assume the latter lol.

Either that or they think thought they could throw out anything that resembles the 90's and folks would accept it. Sailor Moon is (was) KNOWN for its smooth transformations and attacks, plus relationships between the characters.

What's strange is, the Season 3 transformation of Crisis Make-Up and Chibi-Usa's Moon Prism Power Make-Up looks a lot smoother than the movie.

Yeah but this Mamoru we're talking about here, the guy who is routinely brainwash by a box of honey smacks!
Yeah, it is annoying that he is constantly brainwashed, even by Chibiusa. That is an aspect of the manga I don’t like. Mamoru is emasculated, as are other male characters in the manga. Again, Naoko wrote her male characters that way and I know that I, as a male, am not her target audience.

Because in season 3, transformation and attack footage was reused, so they had to invested in those scenes?

oof they used yellow eternal brooch from 90's anime and not one from manga
They are making me so mad. Why more 90s pandering, why.? This yellow thing was hideous. Are you going to copy the terrible stock footage again for Stars... Gosh, instead of making me feel nostalgic all they do is making me start getting tired of the 90s show.... Let it rest.
