so far everything looks pretty nice and it seems toei really saved $$ on stock footage of transformations and attacks instead of actual scenes

Does that mean there was more buzz on social media when it came to these leaks?

I am not sure how I feel about the few new scenes. They look fine, nothing is wrong per se, and Helios wings are gorgeous, but that close up of Usagi looks so fan arty to me, also I need to get used to these flat profiles. But still it moves nice and everything has dreamy feeling to it. Also knowing how much will be in this one film excites me. Like we know ami's mom won't be cut, the girls going to the circus multiple times won't be cut, on this new promo we have Moon and Chibs right before fighting the tiger, so this won't be cut. That cute moment between Chibiusa and Makoto won't be cut. And I hope they give us a sneak peak of the age swap scene, we still have one shot about it, but I wanna see more.

Wow, to me Usagi looks super cute on that close up. It also feels really dreamy so I hope they have captured the essence of the arc.
They definitely are all out promoting the movie.

Maybe I'm mistaken (since I don't exactly remember), but the holy grails didn't appear in the manga, right?

Actually yes Usagi looks super cute in the close up, but i watched it on my phone and the quality is low. So it drastically changed when i watched it on a bigger screen. I came to terms with the fact they are doing cute and young now, and in my opinion they are not doing it in annoying or gross way that is so popular in this day and age.

It would be so nice if they do these short promos, centering them around each senshi. So we can see more of the other girls, but then they don't want to spoil the whole think I guess. Still a spot without Usagi and Chibi Usa and no reused scenes would be great.

It indeed looks more beautiful than Crystal has ever looked. However, it also gives off the "powerpoint slideshow" vibe more than Crystal ever gave.
I wonder if the movie production started already having the apparent Netflix international streaming deal in mind and is just getting dumped into Japanese theaters for convenience.
As we said plenty of times since the first trailer, this isn't cinema treatment.

I think it is simply because they are showing all these dreamy scenes in these abstract backgrounds that gives that feel. But from the screenshot we can see there will be way more busy and rich backgrounds as well as people doing something. For some reason they are doing their promos, focusing on pan shots and this has always been the issue with Crystal promo videos.

A friend of mine who happens to be in a group of US fans of SM on FB told me people there are saying the Netflix dubbing deal is "fake news", because SM "now belongs to Viz".
Not trying to insult any of you guys here, but gosh, North Americans often can be really clueless about how international distribution works.
Studio Khara (EVANGELION) dumped FUNimation over Netflix last year, why the hell would such a major company like Toei be tied to a sole distributor in the US? lol

This gorgeous panel looks so ugly in the new teaser. No shading/atmosphere, weird profile and body proportions.

The worst thing about it to me is how flattened they look. They remind me of when a popular comic book I read as a child started coming in smaller issues and started flattening its panels to fit them. The characters started to look like they had shorter bodies and bigger heads.

Absolutely, the frame looks like from a comic book, same goes for the frame with Usa, Chibi and Pegasus. That specific animator should not be hired for profile shots.

Still it gives me the right feel again. Season 3 didn't most of the time. Now it feels somewhat magical and bishoujo again.
