Season 4 movies update: Sailor Moon Eternal - Delayed to 2021 (Part 1 on January 8th & Part 2 on February 11th)

For me, I think the proportions of Eternal Sailor Moon's costume look a lot better in Crysternal than it did in the '90s anime. Everything looked just a smidge too big in the original anime, especially the bubble sleeves and wings, and while Tadano's take on the outfit doesn't look as delicate as it does in the manga, it's definitely a huge improvement.

It's nice that we have a full circle moment where Tadano got to design Sailor Moon's first and final forms... I wonder if she'll have the chance to design Sailor Cosmos.

It would be nice if she stayed. Because all these changes every time, it's destabilizing.
Because even if there are small things to complain about for Eternal, I find the chara design much better than the 3 other seasons.

What if the person coloring the cels was wrong?

Because it also happens that Sailor Moon's boots change from red to another color (a little more towards pink).

The problem with tones is depending on the version you are looking at... thats why for reference colors you always need to check the original cels of the anime to see the original color cause in vhs/dvd/blu ray you can see different tones depending on the version.

Sailor Moon color has always been magenta ( not pink, not red like Mars ) since the beggining altough in some art/merchandise you can see sometimes the tone can change.

The odango head piece is red ( also the tiara gem ) but the rest of the costume is magenta.

I had always believed that her outfit was a color close to red without being a bright red. Thank you for the information.

Eternal Sailor Moon is much more beautiful in Eternal than in the 90 series. I never liked her costume in 90 (especially her wings) the rest was okay.

The art direction in Stars was bad. There wasn't a good transition of Naoko's manga concepts into animation.
The Starlights and the Animamates clothes looked like cheap fetish costumes on the screen. The only new characters that actually looked good were Galaxia, Yaten/Healer, Tin Nyanko and maybe Iron Mouse.

I also liked Princess Kakyuu. Galaxia was a masterpiece. On the other hand, it disappointed me for the other senshis. I was not a fan especially Seiren.

What I find very intelligent from them is that they keep obviously the broach’s design from Star anime (of course mixed with beautiful swings from the manga version) to be able to produce it and sales it as a toy . The heart manga version is beautiful on paper but would have looked very strange with a toy design (like a real plastic heart )

Nothing yet. They presented them long ago in October 2019 along with the Kaleidoscope but still nothing. They delayed all this products because of the movie delay. This is why the Kaleidoscope has been on hold until the premiere of the movie and was announced exactly the same day the movie premiered in Japan.
I'm sure that they will open preorders for the brooches when the 2nd part is released in February.

the Eternal Tiare in Eternal, I find it really not successful. In the 90 series, she had a lot more class. I have always had this problem with magic items. In Sailor Moon Crystal / Eternal, it appears to be a low cost item. Not a magical and powerful object. Just a bauble.

They only finished dubbing a couple of weeks ago and probably don’t even have a trailer cut for it yet.

That or everything regarding the it’s promotion, including an announcement date, is in their contract with Toei and we simply haven’t reached that date.

Yeah, Netflix should just release it; many people are isolated, inside their homes, and we need films that lift us up.
