Another issue in Japanese and Western Entertainment is the Sony Monopoly which has yet to exploit the Chinese or Korean Entertainment industry.

Not sure about Korea, but I don't think any foreign companies could attain a dominating position in the Chinese entertainment industry/market. :)

Have seen some Korean manga & they look quite good. :) And yeah, almost every sector of the Japanese entertainment industry have been going downhill in the past decade or so. *sigh*
I remember, the Chinese and Korean Comic industries still have males doing Shoujo/Josei manga, not just queer ones.

Note that literally all Japanese shojo manga were written by male manga writers in the past (the very 1st batch of female shojo manga writers were all trainees under those male manga writers).

The Chinese and Korean comic industries still do resemble the manga industry back in the 80s and 90s and were able to adapt in the times.

GNZ48 performing a rearranged, traditional-Chinese styled version of one of their most famous stage numbers, Gravity, at their marathon double concerts held at a landmark venue commemorating the founding father of the 1st Chinese republic (the one before the present people's republic) in their home city from afternoon thru night yesterday:

Another famous stage number, Miss Victoria:

^ The center girl is the founding captain of their 1st team. :)

^ Members from their various teams singing a very moving SNHG song w/ a video played at the middle of the performance, which features their various staff performing an equally moving Cantonese version of the song (w/ rewritten lyrics to fit the rendition in Cantonese, since the pronunciations of Mandarin & Cantonese are pretty different even tho they share the same written form) as well as some glimpses of them at work in their various offices & workshops - the whole performance w/ the video is quite a tear jerker, & you can see the tearful eyes of the girls toward the end:

^ Sorry for not having the time to translate nor even describe those moving mandarin & Cantonese lyrics, but the title of the song means "to ourselves in the future."

[EDIT]
^ Another video played at the concert last night, featuring many of their photos right from their founding day to this month, w/ their rendition of another SNHG song playing in the background:

^ What a ride! :oh: BTW, the title of the song means "my stage."

^ Another legendary SNHG number, which chorus' famous 1st line means "I've got nothing but my dream":

^ The center girl is their talented "sexy queen," who's flanked by one of the best known couples in the group (probably in all the SNHG groups too), whose romance friendship is legendary ever since the founding of the group. ::love::

A nice number by their 1st team (those who can't understand spoken Mandarin or read the Chinese subtitles in the interview part may just skip to the song at 8:10):

[EDIT]
^ Another nice song by their 2nd team:

The 10th anniversary PV of SNHG, released last month:

The song playing in the background of that PV has just climbed to the top position on the local music chart of SNH48's home city, as prominently announced at the CBD of the city: lol

BTW, here's the soundtrack of the single, w/ the lyrics, the romanization of the lyrics, & the English translation of the lyrics shown w/ the cover of their 10th Anniversary album containing that title song of the anniversary:

A promotion video for the upcoming two-part special theater performances of CKG48 next month, released last night:

Having a turbulent past back then (for some time they were even thought to be in indefinite hiatus after losing their exclusive theater), they're now doing quite well in the southwestern inland regions of the country, & have continuously been recruiting new members as well as absorbing members transferred from other SNHG groups these days. :)

Some gifs focusing on the top vocalist of GNZ48 doing a dance performance in qipao on a variety show last night (the other dancers seen in the gifs weren't members of any SNHG groups, tho some other SNHG members did also appear on that show):

^ The dancer at the left is a veteran artist from Hong Kong, who, at her 30s, is the oldest one performing on the show, but nonetheless also among the ones having the closest friendship w/ the much younger her. :)

Also note that her qipao has the most non-traditional design among the dancers seen in the gifs above.

The SNHG has just reorganized themselves again under the new formal name "META48 Holdings Ltd." - yeah, they've now entered into the metaverse business. Here's their official site opened today (many parts not opened yet):

美踏控股

^ There're already tons of info even just in its opened parts, & of course, I don't have the time to describe it here.

A promotion video for that:

Note that all the current active SNHG groups & subgroups, whether the real or virtual ones (at present there're two virtual SNHG groups), will conduct their various activities in the metaverse.

Looks like the pandemic has hastened their development in this direction. lol

[EDIT]
^ An official report about it (right-click the pics to view them in their original sizes):
