The Latino dun sounds really bad. I thnk people should leave this nostalgia and accept these actresses are old.
Really ? I mean I don’t understand Portuguese but the voices for me sounds totally “fine”
In the same way I find the French dubbing sound much more too young and I have issue to differentiate the voices… I love already the German dubbing and of course the original version. Netflix is giving us the best treatment for the Series that it didn’t got since years… I’m very happy!!

For France, they would have translated the English terms to stay in touch with the previous dubbing. In Netflix's French summary, they translated "Dead Moon Circus" into French.Because later, they said "Dream", if it would not have been French, they would have left the English term
Well I don’t know for the French summary but in the French trailer they called themselves “Dead Moon Circus” in English… very curious to see how the transformations and attacks will be handled. Mamoru seems to be called Mamoru too. Changing his name to “Andi” was ridiculous in the French dubbing. EDIT : just hear at the end they translated “Pouvoir de la planète SAILOR”:chibichibi:

She means the Latin Spanish dub, not the Brazilian Portuguese dub.
alright ;)! True some voices there are strange… like the one from Usagi hmmm…

The "Mamo-chan" in the dubs is so cringe. Why the hell is keeping it such a big deal for Naoko (apparently)? At least Russia was spared from ever having to hear it.
Just consider it like his surname… it’s not the end of the world seriously… :vanish:

For France, on the Netflix site, we have the French teaser.

The only change from other seasons is Endy who becomes Mamo-chan.
Everything else has been francized except "Dead Moon Circus".

- The french voices seems very young to me too, and I can't tell who is who (PallaPalla sound the same as Ami or Usagi to me).
- Zirconia french voice is totally caricatural but I suppose it doesn't sound bad for this character ?
- Helios's voice sound creepy to me "belle jeune fiiiiiiille", it's a bit weird
- I thought Dead Moon Circus and other english names were supposed to be translated in french, seems this was a wrong info
- Sailor Planet Power being being badly translated as "Pouvoir de LA planète sailor" makes absolutly no sense. You would think translators knew there were several planets and not just one at this point of the story...
- Mamochan being called Mamochan in every version doesn't make sense either but at this point it's likely a Takeuchi's weird idea so they had no choice.

Anyway I'm happy we got another trailer, Netflix surely does a good job updating us with info on a regular basis.

- You have the English terms translated: attacks & transformations.
- Regarding Dead Moon Circus, on the Netflix summary, it was French, so from there, we could think it was French. For the term circus translated, it comes from my extrapolation, since it is translated in a summary, it necessarily is in dubbing.

Germany
I think that for France and Italy this is a special case. Since from the start, it was translated. It would be strange if they changed that along the way, afterwards when we see that Endy has disappeared ...
In the German trailer they shout Sailor Planet Power in German so I'm afraid they translated the other phrases as well....I definitely hope not.

I love Naoko, but someone needs to sit down and give her a stern lecture about language and why using Japanese honorifics in foreign dubs is utter nonsense.
It's a disaster, the honorifics are for Japan, not for the rest of the world. Imagine, that we have Usagi-chan, and the rest, because in the end we haven't heard anything from the other names.

Totally. I disliked when they used honorifics in translated printed manga (I think they do this in the US version ?), but doing this in a dub is a whole new level of stupidity. Translated version is supposed to mean something in the target language. Using English attacks or names in Spanish or French version may be ok, but not honorifics.

I think it's somewhat adorable. I mean, I'm not defending it as a decision that makes sense, but I definitely find it amusing that it is present.
