They clearly have no interest in this franchise anymore, and it honestly pains me such beloved franchise is in hands of these cheapskates, when i think about what great things Madhouse would do with Sailor Moon, im really sad :(
Agreed, it's because all they want to do is milk their Precure cash cow till its udder gets swollen.

Madhouse is a great animation studio, but I'd say, what about Sunrise, they still are doing great jobs with Gundam, or hell, AIC, who's always done good animation for Oh My Goddess?

I think I'm missing something.

Why are we trashing TOEI again?

Did people forget that Sailor Moon owes a lot of existence in its current form to TOEI? Did we also forget that aside from being the designated studio through which the animation is made, that PNP/Naoko Takeuchi has been pulling most of the creative and financial strings?

Why are we blaming an animation studio for everything that's going wrong (and really, not that much has gone wrong)? If anything, it's pretty clear that that this franchise, while waning, started suffering its biggest declines when PNP took over and decided to start asserting creative control.

I wish PNP would sell its stake to another party, although not Disney; between Marvel and Star Wars, they own nerd culture. If I were to designate a major studio/conglomerate, I'd select Paramount, as they need the infusion more than the other big studios.

^ I think we're talking more about the Toei of today than the Toei of the past here. As for the big studios, I guess MGM coud be interested in the franchise, as a bet to revive its past glory. lol Would also be interesting to see Luna replacing that lion at the opening of a Sailor Moon movie.

To get back on the subject, I'd honestly want to see what would happen if Studio Ghibli or Ponoc did their own version of Sailor Moon...
