Naoko is quite... intense at times. I remember that one interview she was constantly clicking with a pen like a maniac.

I think she was just nervous & that interview was from the beginning of her career from what I recall.

I know and I agree. It was a joke, but still she loved her corpses, melted bodies and murders. I wish she made something in the thriller/horror genre.

I like how Crystal made (is continuing) to make Mercury's attacks more 'active' looking and not so idle and dry (no pun) looking. Aqua Rhapsody had a nice time but looked so basic.

I think they should beef up Love and Beauty Shock. I'm dead serious....I don't want any enemy side stepping attacks.

The two terrible personal moments I can remember from the 90s were when Petz stopped Burning Mandala with a simple halt and when Iron Mouse side stepped Love and Beauty shock with little effort. I have hated those scenes a lot.

I am sure Love and Beauty will be like the manga and she will use her whip. Hope they won't make us wait till Part 2 to see it, though.

Well, it was a matter of time. I am sure it won't be for too long and I lost hope to get the film on September anyway. I hope everyone is healthy and they will re-open soon. I guess it will take them no more than 2 weeks.Is this their main building though, or studio for their life-action projects?

Well, it's just April...there's still several months before September gets here. Though, I am glad they are shutting down for health concerns. Their staff are already overworked as is.


However, there is still Studio Deen....

Glad they picked Tadano for this. I'm hoping they re-do Chronos Typhoon as well.

Well, if it is not on Anime news network - don't believe it. It turned out to be a false rumor. In any case Deen are working on the films as well. Meanwhile Fruits Basket S2 will be out tomorrow.

Chronos Typhoon needed an original sequence. I was so annoyed when it was just a gray, boring version of Dead Scream (which was a charging attack in S2)

Chiaki Kon is way too much copying the old anime, regardless what attack it is. Because Dead Scream already has its way in Crystal, she decided to copy the pose of an irrelevant attack and name it differently. Not to mention that there is no special effects in the sequence. While back in the old anime, we can see the turbulent cloud before she cast the attack...

I'm thinking about the aura on the hand of Uranus and Neptune in the transformation. Just because they don't have their pens in this movie, she decided to add the light to their hands... So lazy.

For the most part I don't mind her "borrowing" from older attacks as long as they add something new. For example, in Season III, even though Burning Mandala is the 'same' there are a few cool frames. The quick close up of Mars' face before it shoots off. I also like the idea of the fire rings turning into Fireballs.

It was more of the 90s with a flair type of deal.

However, nothing can excuse how terrible Chronos Typhon was. You would have expected a turboent wind of chaos instead of a passable Spring time breeze.

I did raise an eyebrow at World Shaking and Deep Submerge but the effect it had on Mimete was legendary so...

One thing I liked about Season 1 was that the director made their moves much more powerful looking and dynamic. Season 1 Akuryo Taisen was godly, Moon Healing Escalation sent Sailor Moon outside the Earth to heal a multitude. Stock footage is cool sometimes but in the heat battle, S1-2 beefed some of the battles up a bit.

I think Kon balanced out things okay minus a few questionable scenes. It is my hope and belief that this film (with the help of Deen) will improve from the previous three seasons.

I honestly feel that Chiaki Kon is doing a fine enough job and I agree she remade the attacks in season 3 with enough flair to set them apart. She is going to do the same with The eternal films. It’s also a lose lose for her. If she makes non stock attacks people would be upset and since she is using stock attacks people are upset. People are upset they look like the original but people would complain that they prefer the original if they were different. I am glad they are using the black background like from super s. I always thought those attacks were beautiful and we all must remember sailor moon isn’t precure there needs to be a sense of sophistication.

Also this “trailer” is someone finding actual leaked footage and adding unnecessary flair like using the op from sailor moon s. I’d believe the whole concept trailer idea more if they used the op from supers. I like the attacks and the group shot from what I can see in this “trailer”. But anyway I oddly trust Deen. I’ve been binging some of there better shows *konosuba, Rakugo, and I think they will do a good job, sailor moon isn’t seven deadly sins there isn’t a reliance on the action. I want pretty faces, pretty hair flash transformation and good writing I think that is possible. All I’m hoping is that this movie at least looks better than a pretty cure movie . Lol i love pretty cure thats not a dig.
