And she still looks completely different on the key visual as well as while attacking, and the other scenes in the trailer. Whatever the designs we are still getting inconsistent artwork. Of course multiple animators are working on any show, but most of them keep more or less consistent look. Anyway I just mean the designs for the trio look closer to the manga ones for me, but of course we know the 90s show had many different artstyles depending on the animation director of the week. So they looked nothing like the designs in many episodes.

I would not be surprise if that happens as Xenotime and Zeolite are so bland and forgettable that most adaptations don't bother including them.

can we talk about sailor pluto‘s skin color? even in the manga she gets darker, so i don‘t get it why she‘s so pale.

Oh yeah those two they were made into droids in the 90's anime.

I find them hilarious circus freaks if nothing else. Plus I do not want them to drag the Trio like the shittenou in s 1. No matter how much time they keep the Trio around, they cannot develop them in 90 minutes.
I decided to read the Dream Arc with the new translation. The more I read the more I am convinced this adapration is impossible.... I mean it is, but it will be so bare bones...

what is all the trauma with the 90s anime always complains about not having the 90s designs well for me sometimes they were horrible, they were so simple, and people complain because this designs are simple puf
i hope they follow the manga, because the promotion toei is doing well dont give me much hope, the only thing some designs, and i still hope they dont censor the amazon quartet costumes like the 90s did

She sort of did it with Helios, but yeah. It's unrealistic to expect them to look exactly the same and it'd be a waste of Tadano's talents. If she tried to imitate Itoh, it wouldn't feel like authentic Itoh *or* Tadano art. I prefer the former, but Tadano's a great designer and letting her use her look for this is the best way to go (I'm especially loving getting to see the outers in her style.)

But honestly, if I was a Toei executive in charge of this project I would have gotten on my knees and offered her a billion dollars to do the designs.

The Dream Arc somehow makes you care about everyone. I just wish Naoko had much more time to explore the characters, their dreams and what formed them. Naoko had a vision about these girls, their dreams, their traumas an outcasts. Imagine if she had multiple opportunities to explore Ami and her family dynamic and all the impact it gad on her. Or Makoto's oarents and her ptsd of planes and how much she wants her own family as she was denied one. Each character has hints of so much potential. I hope the next adaptation tries to do a more character driven approach.

So I can totally see the trio getting transformed back as animals. otherwise the senshi would kill innocent, manipulated animals.

I actually hope they change the first chapter and make Moon and Chibi Moon fight lemures or something, instead of a tiger. Or at least make a point they do not want to hurt it.

Yeah, but killing an animal. Yes they do not kill him this time, but they fully aware they fighting but a lost circus animal.

Yes, this could be a different thing. I don't think the manga explicitly say they are actual animals and not minions of Nehellenia or Zirconia. On the other way it would be cool to have a fight witj a beast type anime, like tge cat droid in season 3. I wonder will they make it more clearer if Zorconia and Nehelenia are the same and make a bit more clear what hapoens to Zirconia. In the manga it was a bit ambiguous. It would be neat if they share a voice actor. This will make it self explanatory.
