The animation of Uranus and Neptune is terrible
Modern animators (especially on Sailor Moon) don't seem to realize it takes more than like twelve frames for a scene like this.
But I don't want to just blame the animators, I'm 100% sure Toei underpaid them and probably outsourced as much as possible.
You can tell where care was given and where it was not.
Uranus and Neptune are a trace of a trace (they literally show them tracing from Youtube videos of the 90s anime in a making-of, Toei couldn't even be bothered to supply scans of old cel art or even official video, apparently.

I'm glad NetFlix is advertising it, it would be nice if they fund Stars, but knowing Netflix, if left to them they'd just cancel it like everything else decent they get.

Salty old man mode, deactivate.

Mostly a name drop but it's better than nothing.

Netflix's Bastard!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy- Reboot Sets Premiere Date

As reported by Comic Natalie, Netflix announced that it will release the new anime revival in two parts, with the first 13-episodes debuting in June. The remaining 11 episodes will be added to the streaming service sometime before the end of 2022. The streaming company also announced several new additions to the show's cast, including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba), Ari Ozawa (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun), Shizuka Itou (Sailor Moon Eternal), and Takehito Koyasu (Attack on Titan: The Final Season).

Hey this got 1.4 million views. :oh my:

Just realized now there's 2 channels for regular Netflix and anime Netflix.

Sailor Moon just has that "IT" even when our fandom know it should have a lot more attention to it. Sailor Moon is easily the most recognized magical girl most of the time. Also, it's funny but I think general casual watchers overlook certain things fans rage over. Lol

I'm hoping that at least with this Netflix deal we could get a new adaptation after the final Eternal films. And if we do I hope it's the people behind the She-Ra reboot when it comes to the writing.

Considering that Naoko has openly stated that her series is about "pretty girls" and she refused Osabu's suggestion of fat senshi, and that the She-Ra crew is all about diversity and body-positiveness, I don't see how that would work...
Not saying they would try to change the characters, but their view on what a girls' franchise should be is vastly different.

I did specifically say "when it comes to the writing" not character designs. ^_^'

That's why I mentioned they wouldn't try to change the characters.
What i meant is that their approach just wouldn't work in the Sailor Moon franchise.

It would really depend on a director's vision if TOEI would give one the freedom and I highly doubt they're going to make :usagi: gay. I like the way the She-Ra writers handles character interaction and plot progression along with its humor.

It would also depend on the target demographic they're trying to focus on. Seasons 1 and 2 were focused on the western manga. Then they focus on the local Japanese market with the Eternal films.

Also after seeing Super Crooks I kinda wanna see Studio Bones be the ones animating a new :usagi: anime if we ever get one. A slightly more mature character design.

Season 3 and Eternal are aimed at the Japanese.
They should have made Sailor Moon targetted to its fans, this is what CLAMP did to their older properties.

When did Sailor Moon Crystal start airing on other channels. I was going through this channel called Tubi and it has Sailor Moon Crystal on there (with commercials of course).

I thought it was only on Netflix or something.

Sailor Moon S coming to Netflix Brazil on May 18.
They're calling the senshi "guardiãs". SInce they never went by this name in official dubs/subs, even in Eternal, the summary is probably a translation from an English source.

The strange thing is why are they only distributing S in Latin America?
First it was for airlines and now Netflix, but why only S???

BTW this is a good sign Netflix distributing Crystal, the movies and the classic series online might mean they might have produced the last arc.

but either way any announcement of the new arc might have gotten delayed because of TOEI hack

With new arc you mean the stars arc? I wonder if Netflix is going to co-produce it and if that means a raise in quality and listening to the critiques from the international community.
