You can only pick 2

This is the Sailor Moon version of the animal meme that was popular around a year ago.
And the premise is basically that: You can only choose 2 Sailor Senshi to protect you, while the rest will try to kill you.

For the sake of simplicity I'll limit the cast to only the 10 Sailor Senshi, those being

- Sailor Moon
- Sailor Mercury
- Sailor Mars
- Sailor Jupiter
- Sailor Venus
- Sailor Uranus
- Sailor Neptune
- Sailor Pluto
- Sailor Saturn
- Sailor ChibiMoon

Let the games begin!

I'll give my personal take.

× Sailor Moon: She's an interesting one, I'm torn on picking her because the silver crystal is not a well defined weapon and I don't know how affective it would be in killing a human. I would rather not take risks if I have a choice, so that's a NO for me, if I picked her it would strictly be so she doesnt kill me and not really to fend off the other Senshi.

× Sailor Mercury: She's smart, but technically the weakest grown up Senshi, so I'll have to go with a NO on her too.
That and also water/ice isn't as dangerous as other powers the senshi have, so even if she were to hit me, it would likely not kill me.

× Sailor Mars: Powerfull, but when compared to other senshi she realistically stands little to no chance. She has her uses, but in a brawl she would be one of the firsts to go down, another NO for me.

☆ Sailor Jupiter: She's the powerhouse of the inners and one of the strongest of the whole team. She would be able to stand a chance a against the majority of the inners (counting as a 1v1 scenario).
Plus if just one of her lightning bolts manages to hit me I'm dead, given how electricity is one of the deadliest elements for humans.
So she's a keeper, mostly due to the fact that she can kill me easy, with the added bonus that she's a strong fighter.

× Sailor Venus: More or less the same as Mars, powerful, but ultimately not strong enough.
That's a NO for me, she does have a sword, which is kind of scary, but if I have to choose a sword fighter I'd rather go with the next option.

☆ Sailor Uranus: She's strong, very determined when it comes to killing and has a weapon that could actually kill a person.
A must pick in my opinion, she's like the hunter in the animal pick, the best option to have on your side AND to not have against you.

× Sailor Neptune: She exists, sorry NO.
Not that she's weak, but she has nearly not combat qualities.
Her attacks are not very deadly, she's does play the violin, which is sort of useful for about 2 seconds of distraction and that's really it. She can create a shield, but why focus on defense when the offense method offers more vailabilty.

× Sailor Pluto: I would have considered her just because she can stop time, but when evaluating the options I came to the conclusion that she's not worth it, much like Saturn.
She has her one deadly move that can and will definitely kill me, but in terms of fighting she doesn't have much to offer, NO, although she was a tough one, her and Jupiter came so close.

× Sailor Saturn: If I were to pick her it would purely be just to not have her destroy me with the rest of the universe, but if I do keep she's not going to do much. Her strength lies in destruction, which is not ideal when you're also trying to protect someone.
So, NO, because she would either get killed by the other Senshi because she's not a great fighter or she would kill me and along with them and the rest of the universe.

× Sailor ChibiMoon: NO.

I feel like I would have to go with Sailor Moon and Sailor Jupiter. I think Sailor Moon is a no brainer since if she were under enough stress then she would be able to use the crystal for defense and Sailor Jupiter is a brawler so I feel like she would be good for offense. Sailor Moon is an easy answer so if she wasn't an option I would go with Mars and Mercury since Mars has spiritual powers as well as her Sailor abilities so that gives her extra power the fact that she has psychic and spiritual powers is a great bonus and Mercury because I feel like her technological resources would be very valuable in trying to pinpoint a weakness in the rest of the group.

for the brains and for the brawn

@Star Angel Haruki Combine those two and you have a 'Fire Aqua Illusion' or 'Shine Fire Soul' (We know from the early Episodes that they actually can mix their individual Attacks into an even more powerful, deadly and devastating one)!

Hard decision since they all work so well together. .

Mars is a keeper. She's a Shinto priestess and has basic martial arts training and also a deadly markswoman with her Flame Sniper. Even Sailor Star Fighter hesitated when confronted by her deadly arrow. She also has spiritual awareness over the other inners.

She has been shown to put up a good fight, effectively dodging a barrage of deadly blue raining fireballs launched by Koan by amazingly sommersaulting high into the air and landing on her feet in high heels to safety.


While Jupiter has strong lightning attacks, they seem to mostly be regulated at one enemy aside from Oak Evolution. Mars attacks can assault multiple enemies at once. Burning Mandala, Fire Soul (from the R movie.) She also has the paralyzing ofuda which can be hurled in droves to dismantle multiple assailants just like in the R-movie with the possessed people.

My next choice would be a hard one.

Jupiter is powerful but she loses focus too quick. She was the first to be taken out by the DD Girls for hesitating in battle.

Venus has multiple tools at her disposal which make her quite the ally but Mercury has a lot working for her in terms of offense and defense. I choose Mercury over her mainly for Shabo Spray which is a disorienting fog and her tactical abilities.

One should rethink getting hit by one of her attacks. Shine Aqua Illusion was seen stopping a cannon ball at full speed in the SuperS movie. That's pretty powerful. Shine Aqua Illusion uses the pressure of water but it also has the ability to freeze.

She also has a mini computer that can pinpoint enemies location and weaknesses. Combine that with Mars' spiritual intuition and you've got a powerhouse ready for war.

A hit from from Fire Illusion (Fire Soul + Shine Aqua Illusion) is like extreme boiling water.

Shine Aqua Illusion could stop foes in their tracks and then Mars could incinerate them with Super Fire Soul.


Uranus rushes into things without thinking. She's my favorite of the Outers. She does have that at all costs mentality that gives her an edge.

Neptune is rather not really doing anything for us. She has her mirror and Deep Submerge but meh. She has the same mentality as Uranus with the at all cost but as proven, it's not always effective. Her violin means nothing to me since Mercury has a harp.

Pluto, and Saturn as just no. Neither are really suitable for the task imo. Both use their ultimate attacks and they die. They so have a little working for them with Dead Scream and Silence Wall..but other than that...meh.

Sailor Chibi Moon is a nah. Not until she's much older.

I also forgot to mention. In SuperS towards the end when all the Senshi were storming into the tent, they got confronted by a crap ton of Lemures. During the still shot of attacks you can see them doing like ultimate versions of their attacks. I was wondering from what I saw. Is it possible for Sailor Mars to shoot more than one arrow because in that shot I saw a crap ton of them. I'm wondering if the arrow from Flame Sniper can change size or can see shoot one after the next. There must have been 20 of them in that still frame.

It would come in handy if they could. Especially for Venus. That scene in Sailor Stars where Iron mouse casually side-stepped Love and Beauty Shock was one of the most embarrassing moments, right next to when Petz stopped Burning Mandala on the spot.

Pluto and Mars are the only viable choices imo. All other choices end up with me dead. Pluto would help me escape (space time door, stop time, ...) and Mars would have to be on my side because otherwise she would work out (shrine maiden skills) the location I had escaped to and lead the others there.

So one should do a topic like this about the villains.

It's definitely a very tough question considering you are proposing a 2 on 8 fight. The only way you are getting out of that situation is very sneaky tactics since your 2 would never win against the others in a outright fight to the death.

My picks are Eternal Sailor Venus and Eternal Sailor Moon, the former for being the most skilled by far and capable of one-shotting any of the others with a kick or snipe them from afar (that, and Mercury, Mars and Jupiter basically worship her when it come to superheroing and wouldn't want to fight her at all), the latter for being literally more powerful than the others put together and, most importantly, the only one Venus would have qualms about putting down.

Never forget the manga.

I never would have thought of Pluto but this is really the best case scenario since the others would never stop looking for you and the only way you would really be safe would be to get lost in time and space somewhere no one can reach you.

The only reason I didn't pick Pluto aside from what was mentioned earlier is that you could end up in a dangerous situation. Pluto has to guard the time gate unless there are two of them in the case. Remember in R when the Senshi went to time and space corridor and were technically lost thanks to Esmeralde? It's quite possible that you could be so lost that you would die of starvation or thirst.

I would choose Sailor Moon and Sailor Saturn. Sailor Moon has plot armor that refuses to let her or anyone who is under her protection fall, while Sailor Saturn is powerful enough to do the dirty work of slaying the others, if necessary. The ultimate forces of creation and destruction, if they worked together, would be unstoppable.

Agreed - they're a perfect combo: either I win or we both lose (hence a tie), so you can never win & always lose.
