There is a planned western adaptation of Bebop which has been planned since the 90s which went to different studios and recently gotten by Netflix.
I don't think we need anymore of LA because we have an old LA
I think we probably need another stage play like the old Sera Myu
But is a Dracul arc remake

This is inevitable no matter what honestly.P-::blue:

I pray that the CW never gets the rights to Sailor Moon.::eeklez:

I'm in disagreement I do want to see a westernized live action movie/series.

Agreed, you need at all the stars(heh) to align to make a good (let alone perfect) Live action Westernized of Sailor Moon.

Never say never in my mind I believe it can be done.;)

A Live Action Western Hellsing movie has just been announced.
Amazon Develops Live-Action Hellsing Film With John Wick Writer

Maybe Sailor Moon won't be too far off.;)
Perhaps a movie remake based on Stars would be better.

My expectations (wish list?) from Sailor Moon in the next 10-20 years:

A virtual/live-stream Sailor Moon musical. COVID-19 pretty much killed off live events from 2020 to possibly even the rest of 2021 (including the The Lover of Princess Kaguya Musical and Prism On Ice show). Even with the vaccine underway, with the threat of new variants, we don't know what the future will hold for the Sera Myu... Which is still one of the most popular segments of the franchise. Why not develop a musical to live stream globally then? You can even get creative with the staging and filming since you won't be restricted to a stage and its limitations. I would love to see a musical with even bigger production value than the Nogizaka46 one. They can make money by selling virtual tickets and only streaming on certain dates (similar to how virtual concerts are now).

Another attempt at a JAPANESE live action Sailor Moon. I agree that the a Hollywood/American adaptation would be a disaster. However, I am fine with the idea of a new Japanese production whether it's a series or a film. This also feels somewhat realistic. It would be weird to stop making new Sailor Moon content after Stars since Sailor Moon products continue to fly off the shelves. It's probably too soon to expect a new adaptation, so this would probably be the next best thing. Also consider that Yu Yu Hakusho is getting a live action adaptation.

A Sailor Moon anime reboot aimed at a younger demographic. Look, it's no secret the franchise has been targeting the women who grew up with the franchise ever since the 20th anniversary burst out Crystal and the various expensive merchandise that no sane parent would ever buy their child. This is a strategy that works for now, but are these same Japanese women going to continue buying expensive wedding dresses, silverware, etc. 20-30 years from now? You risk the eventual death of the franchise unless you try to draw in new blood. I don't see this happening anytime soon though, but as we get nearer to a 40th and 50th anniversary, I think this would be a smart move. Manga purists who just want the same story repeated ad nauseum will cry, but at least this anime will probably get a bigger episode count total to develop the Sailor Guardian's relationships and (hopefully) better animation.

A fully CGI-animated Sailor Moon adaptation. Even if the franchise doesn't heed my words about creating a new anime that tries to draw in new audiences, even if we get the same manga story retold countless times, inevitably this will happen. Anime is trending slowly towards CGI animation and while I think it will be a long time before hand drawn animation dies down, it's not impossible. This increases the likelihood of a full CGI Sailor Moon anime sometime in the distant future.

I also really LOVE @MementoNepenthe's idea of a Sailor Moon ballet. Maybe a few years from now when COVID-19 is erradicated.

The most likely gonna happened to big wishlist after Sailor Moon final arc ended:
5/ Codename Sailor V OVA (This is most likely happened since Venus had her own story on the spin-off)
4/ The remake of Hearts in Ice (but as in the manga) (It would be cooler with OVAs of the rest of the short stories but I just gonna go with Hearts in Ice)
3/ Another Sera Myu but this time is a remake of Dracul arc (It would be great considered Dracul arc is one of my most favorite non-canon arc of Sailor Moon series)
2/ Sailor Moon proper console/PC game (It could be made by Arcsys and I can see is a good opportunity for a big game to get on for US and Japanese gamers - can be a 2D fighting game, or RPG)
1/ Haruka/Michiru spin-off when? (I mean, this has been asked several years, if Naoko Takeuchi returned with a spin-off like this or it's an own anime with Ikuhara back or s/o else, the entire Sailor Moon fans lose their mind)

That was Ikuhara's plan back in 1995 which inspired Utena.

I would love Stars movie hell they can recon it so that Shadow Galatica was the fall of the Silver Millennium instead of the Dark Kingdom.
It gives a Superheroine vibe.

I almost wanted to go at one thing:
Since HxH reboot was 2011 and done but still waiting for the sequel
Sailor Moon reboot was almost done
So that leaves was the YYH remake but then for some reason how from great artstyle of the recent OVA to Netflix goes for LA

You know one of the things that would be changed in american adaption would be that Ami/Amy would not be in the same grade as the rest of girls. Because in Japan high IQ students are rarely moved up grades before the other students and instead are just given extra studies but in the US it's opposite.

This actually has a lot of potential storylines for Ami/Amy in High School, maybe she goes to the same school as Mamoru/Darrien and they are classmates?

Oooh, i like this idea. Having Ami be a link between Mamoru, Reika, Setsuna and the Inners would facilitate their involvement plotwise. Maybe Ami can meet Setsuna before she awakens and have a friendship with her as we see in the Dream arc?
