As someone who lives in Japan I was able to buy both the SM and CCS books.
Volume size identical
Paper quality identical
However the full color illustrations make all the difference - the CCS books are gorgeous to look at
The ironic thing is both are published by Kodansha - so its not the...
Ironic that someone mentioned the CCS artbooks.
I picked them up a couple of weeks ago.
Got the Cheerio ones a while ago.
Just got the Memorial Book left to pick up.
Rather than that I'd rather have blu-ray's of the Bandai Era musicals...
It's a tragedy that we can't have the great Anza musicals like Final First Stage on BD :(
They might re-arrange it a little / add a new song or such.
Was typical of the old musicals of the Bandai era to have "Kaiteban" (Revisiion) versions - new one in the Summer and a kaiteban in the winter.
I've only bought the 2018 blu-ray. Couldn't be bothered to buy the 2019 version.
Give...
The way I read it it's a rehash of the previous 2018 and 2019 musicals just with 5th Generation members.
Nothing to see here...move on...
I'll be interested when they announce a new musical with non idol actresses...
Just got back from seeing part 2 at the first friday AM showing. Theatre was about 20 - 25% full
Can agree with views already expressed - your're getting a carbon copy of the manga frame for frame so fans have got what they wanted.
Seems like Eternal to be better animated / paced than part...
People including people on this forum have whined for years about the lack of a faithful adaptation.
They've got exactly what they wanted - a no risk by the numbers adaptation. If they had not there would have been an outcry.
This is the last definitive adaptation - we won't see any new...
OK I've just got back from my local cinema seeing part 1.
Its only 1 of 2 cinemas in my prefecture playing the movie and the 10am showing had 10 people or less ? There were still plenty of goods available from the looks of it - unlike Sound Euphonium - a lot of stuff was sold out that day...
I'll be going over the next couple of days. Just need to arrange time around wife + daughter. I've had my ticket since last October when i went to the sailor moon museum.
There is pamphlets for both parts 1,100 yen and a pamphlet holder with part 2 for 2,200. and there is already an Official...
Yeah I kinda thought when I went to the museum that nothing stood out to be as "hey I've never seen this before'.
Looks like my suspicion has been proved right - those calendar images I definitely have vague memories of seeing them before
OH just an update - I got to look at the Complete Box of all 6 musicals today
- Interesting that it says complete - why was the Nogizaka stuff not included or the Super Live I wonder ?
- By Japanese standards fairly cheap design - the art we've seen with all 6 covers is the front cover of the...
Possibly but pretty sure I saw a good 10 - 15 people queued up for on the day tickets - like I said maybe it was because the guests were the Super Live actresses - pretty sure Anza will have attracted a bigger crowd for sure.
They were pretty strict - everyone had to have their temperature...
Tis true but on the flip side I do want to see more musicals and well goods sales / blu-ray sales etc at the theatre will have an effect on their willingness to stage another musical.
When all is said and done its goods and ticket sale revenue tht counts.
I noticed there did seem to be a...
Deluxe blu-ray of the musical thats on it's last day (today) in Tokyo.
Two versions - regular and delux edition of botht he DVD and blu-ray. The deluxe edition has the live CD recordings of the songs so for me it's a no brainer to get the delux edition.
I reserved it at the theatre so I got...
Yeah the more or less final big room was full of famed Naoko artwork that the "No Photo" staff were guarding jealously but nothing per se stood out to me as being new.
Like I remember seeing Manga covers/ the covers for the CD boxes and stuff that I think was from the art books but nothing...
