What's all this leveling up? I don't understand how any of them are "fully awakened" unless they've remembered everything about the past. Yay Mars, but miles to go before you sleep!

On that note, I wish Minako didn't know Usagi is the princess. I wish she only knew it wasn't her. That way, Usagi can stump them all when she busts out.

I thought this episode was very cute, but there were so many wierd things!

- the absence of Motoki and Makoto. When does he leave that turtle anywhere?! They must be up to something.
- Sailor Moon's wrist glove... it could have scrunched down, the fabric doesn't seem very thick. But to film it in such an obvious manner is a little odd.
- Hina's willingness to let slide Mamoru's strange behavior at the apartment. She apologized after he made her dump the oranges all over the floor! He can't marry her! ew!
- The helecopter... it took me a few minutes to figure out that it was probably a hospital chopper. Unless we find out in the next episode that someone of importance was being airlifted in, there wasn't much point to the sound effect.
- Minako's and Rei's complete lack of stage presence.

Beside all these little bratty complaints I still liked the episode. I think it's hilarious that Mina penned Rei into singing for the hospital children, she really needed to stop running all over town looking for Youma that were undoubtedly going to find her anyway. And I'm so worried for Minako! 6 months to live!? What's that all about? :(
This episode seemed like it was made to set up for greater things, I can't wait to find out what happens next! I'm so glad this show deviates a bit from the previous storylines! ^_^

When Venus says that the senshi have to be awaken, I thought the senshi would have their memories return, but I guess it's just more of getting stronger in terms of their powers.

Maybe when Jupiter is awakened, we get to see her use the antenna from her tiara :)

Entirely correct, he would never leave the turtle on his own, which leaves blackbird's idea the only plausable explanation ;).

What I want to know is why Minako was in a hospital gown getting a CAT scan, but the nurses seemingly let her dress up like an idol to get her IV. She's even wearing boots with heels. In bed. The heck ....

So, does that mean that Mercury "awakened" when she did that sword thing to Kunzite way back in act 14 or somewhere close to that?

Ami-chan... always the over-achiever! She leveled up before anyone even knew about level upping! (Pardon my crazy country grammar!)

It seems, then, that Usagi has "level upped" several times already, with healing everyone with the Moon stick and then with her bare hands for Mamo and Hina in 18 and then with her teardrop to the mittens, no?

YES! Motoki is pointedly absent as is Mako-chan. Maybe they went out on a date!

Ami seems to be a strange case. Maybe she really was about to realize her true self, but the dark side cut in at just the right moment and twisted that power, using it's energy to make the super-powerful Dark Mercury. She's got her level up, it's just evil.
The sword thing was one of those quirky little things that seems to make the senshi more individual with their powers, sort of like when Makoto was listening to the trees a few episodes back.
I think in coming episodes the true Mercury might break out, or Sailor Moon will heal her and she'll get knock down a few rungs and have to work her way back into her power.

I've noticed as well that #4 has really gotten the shaft lately. What is she up to? Does she secretly not like this show? Or do the producers now think she's really too old for the role?
The "shaft"... interesting choice of words; I'm not even going to go there.

She's not the oldest one; Ayaka-chan is older by 156 days, if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway, Mako-chan's bound to make her appearance soon after the uncovering of Tuxedo Mask (which seems pending in Act 24) because she's the only one left to discover her senshi powers.

Can anyone name the piano pieces that Zoicite was playing in this episode? I recognized the Moonlight Sonata (interesting choice, there) but what else did he play? I'm especially wondering about the one at about 7:32, because I recognize it but can't put a name to it.
Those two are the etudes written by Chopin.the first he played is called 'Revolutionary' and the second is 'Winter Wind' :)

By the way

"He was the one called Zoisite… I definitely know him!"
How did Mamoru know Zoi's Name :?
I think Zoi had not told him his name so far...

It's kind of odd, because in the preview they had her saying "I want to see Rei sing." Wonder why they cut her out completely?
You know I totally over looked that. Thanks for pointing that out. Your right they did cut that scene out. Makoto didn't even have a line she just got a "un" sound and a nod. Probably because she got her own act centering around her so they had to put her back in the box. I do hope that she hooks up with Motoki or something.

That's not that odd (honest). If you have any kind of scan you have to take off all your clothes and jewelry. They are usually nice enough to let you wear your socks. Even give you a blanket if you're cold.

But the IV was probably some sort of IV infusion therapy. Most of that is done outpatient. Because of that you wear your own clothes and just lay there all comfy until your done.

I would have found it more fantastical if they would have put her in a hospital and bed and gown all dramatic. What they did is truer to life.

I hope they don't, like, kick her out. o_o She's my role model, and she's a great Jupiter (err...in my humble opinion). And in the preview (like Neeko mentioned), she was...there. o_O Kinda' weird. Maybe it's one of the things they'll add in the DVDs.

I think you might be jumping to conclusions, just a tad. The reason she wasn't in the episode could be simply because the director wanted to focus on Usagi, Rei and Minkao the most. I think its silly to think she's too old for the role. I mean, hold old is she, sixteen? fifteen? she's perfect for the role. There'll probably be a mako-chan episode in the next 2 episodes. I hope we get to see her use her lightning rod, or sparkling wide pressure. I never got the name to that attack, what does it mean? I always perferred Jupiter thunder clap zap better, myself. ^_^ ^_^
