Like someone already said, the pacing was just so fast which I was worried about when we got to the next few acts after Premonition because we are back to the 1:1 act per episode ratio. The first half of the episode was great but the second half definitely felt rushed to me. For that reason, the Eudial battle wasn't as epic as it could've been. But then again, the Witches 5 were like monsters of the day in the manga so it's just following the source material closely.
No major animation errors from what I saw and the story was good. My favorite parts were with Hotaru and Tomoe for the creep factor and ambiance and Haruka and Michiru's moment when they embraced. It's too bad that the 1:1 act per episode won't allow Crystal to flesh out their relationship or on their past any more than what we will get from the manga because all we will have time for is moving the plot forward. That's just my opinion though which is subjective. Without a doubt, it was still a good episode and I enjoyed it. Just not as much as both parts of Premonition.
Had the same issue with this episode as I did with the manga chapter it adapted: It felt like two completely separate stories crammed together, with the first one switching into the other at the halfway point.

Was I the only one who noticed a lot of awkward subtitles?
Here's a discussion about the latest episode, with Lauren Landa. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=017BV19dQO8. They also very quickly at the end make fun of the fact that Viz still hasn't announced a release date for S yet.
This was a good episode. Yes it was a bit rushed but how could they have split this one without making lots of stuff up? My only real disappointment was no Gorgon form for Eudial. I can't wait for next week
a point on Professor Tomoe, he will never be funny in this adaptation, he will give an evil laugh though. Loved how creepy he was and the cold hands part- can't wait until he touches Usagi's shoulders in Act 31 and scares the heck out of her.
We're just missing to see the Crystal version of Mercury Aqua Mirage (which is 2 weeks from now as scheduled) and i'm loving all the manga only attacks being adapted! I'm curious with the change on how they will handle the Rainbow Moon Heart Ache and the other attacks but with this episode, Mars Snake Fire was awesome!
Im sad Shining Aqua Illusion doesnt have new animation unless they're still just havent showed it. Second half of Act 16 was changed a lot in Crystal to give Ami more spotlight so maybe this time act 30 will have her use two attacks instead of just Mercury Aqua Mirage.
I always wondered whats the whole thing with the levels for Witches 5 and why Eudial was the first to get the mission even though Mimette had lower level than her.
for the levels, it's similar to rpgs where the higher the level, the stronger they are. From the manga, they can be leveled up if they meet a certain requirement with Cyprine having the highest at 999, possibly you can be a Magus if you reach level 1k i think
Mimete is weaker than Eudial which is confirmed in the next act that's why she uses daimons to help her, not sure what was Naoko's intention on having her go first but it does coincide with Michiru's concert where Mimete will be part off.
I would love to see an updated Shine Aqua/ Snow Illusion as well. Hope she does it in Act 30.
well they have a similarity so probably Naoko is inclining to that part, we'll never know. Were there any articles on her explaining the levels of the Witches 5? For my part, i still stick with its relation to rpg (is Naoko an rpg fan as well?) I know she likes Chemistry and Science related stuff as the names of most of her villains are mineral related.
When you really look at those scenes, I'm sure it was supposed to give off cult-like vibes, but I dunno about it being Scientology specifically. Thanks for pointing it out, though. Mugen Academy has become even more creepy to me now that I can't help but think it could have ended up like Jonestown in there.
