I find PGSM's rendition of Sailor Moon so intriguing and refreshing because they've made several small alterations but it changes the entire context of the story. I have mixed feelings about Minako knowing a lot more than everyone else about the whole Princess thing and not sharing. On one hand, it's nice to see Minako taking charge and trying to keep things together without having to involve everyone else... but on the other hand, why doesn't she just come out with the truth? Maybe it would spur Usagi to work harder?

Then there's Mamoru, who already knows Usagi is Sailor Moon. This moment in the anime was very special to me and I was thoroughly (although pleasantly!) surprised that this happened so soon in PGSM.

I guess I'm just irked because I wish Usagi would hurry up and figure out that Mamoru and Tuxedo are the same! I can't wait to see her face when this happens!!

It's kind of sweet that because Mamoru already knows, he understands what Usagi means when she says stuff about him indirectly (i.e. act 19). I firmly believe he knew that she was talking about him, no matter what he said in his thoughts! (LOL) If he didn't know, I think Usagi should clobber him next act.

And throwing Hina into the mix was great. It's clear how Usagi feels about them, but I'd like to see an episode dedicated to how Mamoru feels about Usagi and Hina, with shots of him in his bedroom being sad or walking around being long-faced or making cookies or something and being tormented because he can't give them to Usagi.... ya know?? Anyone feel me on this?

Yeah, Minako gets kind of annoying with her "holier than thou" attitude, doesn't she? If Minako survives this whole ordeal, and become good friends with the other senshi, then i'm thinking she'll become more "down to earth".

So Mamoru / Tuxedo Kamen does know Usagi's Sailor Moon? I thought so, I just wasn't sure. I don't know what's taking Moon so log in figuring out that Mamo is Tuxedo Kamen, I mean, its as obvious as the Clark Kent / Superman cliché. Baka Usagi! LOL!

I'm sure that everything will be revealed in a couple more episodes.

I think it's okay as long as it's not a permanent thing. Minako's knowledge is a source of suffering for her. I expect once she's forced to reveal what she knows, it'll be a lot less than everyone expects. More than the other senshi, sure, but not everything (like I think she has no clue regarding Endymion.)

Momoru's knowledge is fun because it adds complications to his relationship with Usagi.

Nobody knows enough to play Deus ex Machina (sp?) which is the important thing. And as long as the main character isn't the one with most of the knowledge, since that's so uninteresting.

Well, maybe, but she does know something, how else can we explain her cryptic comments in the amusement park episode?

I honestly think that Sailor Venus has a sufficient amount of information to know that she knows what should happen in a given time. But Act 19 left me doubting her credibility because of the end where she's apprehended by Nephrite who takes her tiara/crown. So, at some point she was "Deus ex machina" until that part, where I think, the veneration of Sailor Moon as princess shall take place... only in a few episode's time.

I honestly think that the scene in act 19 (with Venus on the ground, foot on her back) was a plan of hers (more or less). Becuase before that we see see her updating her website, and she clearly wanted the enemy to move. But back to the main point of the thread...

I don't think Minako is an "All knowing character" she just knows a tad more then the rest of the inner senshi. Hey even Artemis knows more than Luna. I just think that is becuase, she has been dealing with the Dark Kingdom for more years than the others, she's much more invovled. Watch her illness be linked to some dark kingdom thing, that happend in her Sailor V days.

But I think the problem is Venus should explain things to the others (not everything, but give them something). Not just say "becuase I am princess do this... bye." and Artemis should at least keep Luna informed. I like how Rei in act 19 really thought about things. If our mission is to protect her, why is she distancing herself, like a decoy...

A lot of them (the inner senshi), just need to be honest with each other. They're all keeping secrets from each other which is giving them stress or causing them suffering. But they do that out of worry or carry each other.

I actually like this more mature Minako-chan, in the anime she came off a bit too much as a ditz. While that's good at times, sometimes in the anime, they kinda pushed it a bit too far. I agree with Parvus, in that, she's not an "all knowing" sort of character. Artemis still has his memories (or rather, most of them) from the Silver Millennium and when he activated Minako as Sailor V (assuming which after he was reborn on Earth) those memories reawakened. As his responsibility to Minako developed, so did his memories (in theory). The same applies to Luna; given that her charges are Sailor Moon and the rest of the Inner Senshi aside from Venus, when she was reborn, she had the initial instinct to stop the Dark Kingdom, assemble the Senshi and find the Princess. Granted that's still pretty much what she's going on, but the point of this whole tirade was that Artemis has a slight advantage over this because he and Minako have been doing this longer.

I know that this was redunant as all hell, but I thought that I should have my say.

I basically agree with death_charm here! I like Venus the most of all the Sailor Moon characters, but her insane ditziness in the anime did irk me at times! I'm hoping that just MAYBE the Venus/Minako character of PGSM will begin to resemble the friendly, playful, but competent character that she was in the Sailor Moon manga! She's been just a tad to distant and chilly for me to totally enjoy to date, but her little "surprise gift" to Artremis gives me some hope that a far more likable character is close at hand! ^_^
