Okay, we all know about the whole chibi chibi being Galaxia star seed? That has been discuss There was another plot point. That irked , and even made me angry. That was the Uranus, and Neptune pretending to be on Galaxia side.By killing Saturn, and Pluto?

Also shouldn't damaging chibi also damage Galaxia?

The "betrayal" was utter stupid, they sacrificed the best fighter beside Usagi for nothing. Setsuna also got Time Stop. I wonder how did they manage to think it would work, if Hotaru didn't give up the fight, I think they would be obliterated in secs.

My assumption with Uranus and Neptune was that they were initially under control but managed to regain it and that was when they attacked Galaxia, which was their intention with taking the bracelets. There's no strategy in knowingly killing off Pluto and Saturn, but when they volunteered they knew that was a possibility and probably figured it was worth the risk if they were able to take out Galaxia. But it failed as she already didn't have her star seed in her body.

If they had their wits about them when they attacked Pluto and Saturn, I feel they would've attacked Galaxia when they stood right next to her with their star seeds, but they attacked Usagi and co instead which literally makes no sense unless they actually were under control at first before managing to snap out of it.

That was how I understood the scene at least.

I don't see any chance if Hotaru fights.

Season 5 has been terrible to Hotaru, stupid PIS messed her up both times against the boss.

They wouldn't stand a chance if she *did* fight back, but I think they were willing to bet that Hotaru wouldn't attack them, and they were right.

And yes totally agree, there wasn't enough outers in Stars period and Hotaru especially got ripped off.

Stars ending very much messed up all the other senshi, the focus was on Three Lights and Usagi.

The first 6 epsiodes handled them better overall.

Overall I think it's a very dumb try, Galaxia gave all of her goons such weapon and didn't fully control their mind. Surely she would have a way to counter that.

At that point though they had already tried fighting her and failed. It was either give hoping they could resist the mind control and attacking her with the bracelets a go or just die at that point. They didn't know about the Chaos stuff at that point, just thought Galaxia herself was evil, so considering that lack of vital information it was a pretty good try I thought.

And yes, I agree with your previous post that I was an unhappy camper about the Star Lights getting more focus than the inners. Totally unfair and undeserved. If this was *a* season rather than the final one I wouldn't have minded as much, but when it's the final season I want the actual characters of the series given the focus, not some newcomers lol.

Hotaru still has strong power, Setsuna has teleport(I think could be done even without her rod), there are many ways to go against Galaxia. It never let Hotaru actually use the power on Galaxia, she just bluff her and attack with surprise.

Also, why didn't Chibichibi getting hurt damage Galaxia? The whole finale felt like it was dragging slowly to a very unconvincing dumb end.

I don't think attacking Galaxia would've done a lot of good though regardless since she had Chaos in her which wasn't really killable in a conventional sense. She got hit by plenty of attacks by the Star Lights and even by E. Sailor Moon at one point and still kept on coming, and even broke her staff.

The Chaos had to be purified out of her which was happened in the end.

Uranus and Neptune didn't know this though hence their gamble. And sure enough it didn't work.

As for the Chibichibi thing I assume it's because it wasn't *really* Galaxia attacking them in the first place, it was Chaos. If it was Galaxia gone evil it probably would have, but of course if Galaxia was evil she wouldn't have separated her star seed from herself in the first place. That was an attempt to have someone use it to take her out. Which also didn't work since the sword the star seed provided got shattered.

Defeat her, then cleanse her just like Usagi had done to many villains. That's why I think Stars ending was domb.

It was Chaos using her body, so it should have weakened her or even dissolve her body, leaving only Chaos there.

But what good would that do? Galaxia wasn't evil. Why dissolve a good guy's body to leave Chaos behind? Usagi cleansed it out of her instead and she was able to live.

To weaken the villain. We got Silver Crystal, there is always hope to get Galaxia back.

The audience needs to be relieved to see Galaxia gets beaten.

But no attacks weakened Chaos at all. It couldn't be defeated in a fight.

And what relief would be gotten from seeing a good guy get killed? x_x

I'm thinking what it comes down to is you wanted a different final villain, which is totally fair and I can understand that. Everything else in the series was a being that could be defeated in a battle, so this was a big change.

It would weaken him by destroying the shell it was possessing, then use Silver Crystal to seal it/cleanse it.

Galaxia's good past was only briefly shown to the audience, so killing her momentarily would not be a problem, just a process to weaken the villain.

The thing is that Chaos was almost never shown as a character, not even on Pharaoh 90's degree. So it was way too vague to us. To ppl Galaxia is the baddie, so destroying her shell would let the audience feel relieved. As for her being the good heroine, just bring her back after Chaos was destroyed. Nobody would have a problem.

the bracelets allowed galaxia to live without her star sees, much like the animamates.

also, I think Pluto and Saturn had figured out Neptune and Uranus’s plan. They knew those two fought by sacrifice. After all, Saturn and Pluto gave up fighting and in the end, they had a shot of both of them being at peace with Uranus and Neptune taking their lives.

Well I was part of the audience and I can tell you I wouldn't feel relieved seeing her die lol. The only reason she got taken over by evil in the first place was because she had saved the galaxy by sealing chaos within her, and as soon as she knew she was being taken over by it she tried putting a plan in motion to defeat her. She was a hero.

Usagi is super compassionate though and we saw in S in her arguments with Michiru and Haruka that she's not okay with sacrificing for the common good. It would've been terribly out of character to nuke Galaxia after that.

She also refused to kill Black Lady and Mistress 9 because of that too.

Big bads like Wiseman and Pharaoh 90 were different, there was no good guy being taken over/possessed, they were just evil beings so she took them down.

But yeah I feel like this is going to just keep going, so I think I'll take my leave on this thread now, as clearly neither of us are going to change our mind haha :) We'll have to agree to disagree.

None of it was shown to us. Unlike Black Lady and Mistress 9, where their original personality played a big role. So to ppl, Galaxia is the villain. Chaos and her are the same character.

Fiore also is another example, his physical body was purged at first, but we don't see much problem with it.

Fine, I guess I hate the ending too much.
