Sailor Moon Comes to Life in New Fan Film

Sailor Moon is no stranger to the world of live-action, from 2003’s Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon tokusatsu show to an abundance of fan films that have been shared over the years. We’ve covered previous efforts in the past, and those hungry for more will want to check out the latest from director Fred Grant.

Written by Greg Garrison, the Sailor Moon Fan Film project was executive produced by Cosplay Against Bullying and features Tori Durin Purcell as Sailor Moon, Katie George as Sailor Jupiter, Anna Faith as Sailor Venus, Riki LeCotey as Sailor Mercury, Jane Sin Zabate as Sailor Mars, Sam Schneider as Nephrite, Melting Mirror as Queen Beryl, and Michael Bow as Tuxedo Mask.

We have Fan Film version of the Dark Kingdom and Dream arcs. What I really wanna see is the Infinity Arc given a similar treatment.
While that's nice...there's a reason why this hasn't been done -- too many characters.

The Dark Kingdom has the core five girls, Tuxedo Mask, the four bad guys, the evil queen, and the shadow. So that's 12 main characters, 14 if you count the cats. The Dream arc has the core five, Chibi-Moon, Tuxedo Mask, the three bad guys, the four bad girls, a Pegasus and an evil queen. So that's 16 characters.

The Infinity Arc has the core five girls, Tuxedo Mask, the Outer Trio, Chibi-Moon, Hotaru Tomoe (who is essentially in THREE forms with three different personalities), five bad underlings, an assistant or overlady, a mad doctor, and another shadow,. That's 19 characters if you don't split Hotaru up into three, 21 if you give each incarnation the proper weight.

19 characters is a lot to balance, and handling an Infinity Arc would require more money than fans have at their disposal.

Only way I could see Infinity arc being done is if it's a film trilogy or something, hopefully it could be on par with the original Star Wars, Indiana Jones (I do NOT count Crystal Skull) and Lord of the Rings Trilogies.
