All anyone knows so far is Kazuko Tadano, character designer and animation director from the first two seasons of the original Sailor Moon anime as well as the Sailor Moon R movie, will be returning to be the animation director for the 4th story arc of Sailor Moon Crystal. Thats barley any information about the movie at all and frankly I'm quite disappointed.

Its been slightly over a year since they announced it. Yes its a bit frustrating but it not the end of the world. Im glad they reconfirmed it recently. I wish it was earlier, i really do but at the same time...im just not mad. I can wait a bit more.

That news regarding Tadano has already well exceeded my expectation on their release of info. :P
Still worried though. TOEI executive meddling can still make these movies dull. Sadly we don't see that until the final product shows up in theaters.

Well, it is not true they wait till the very last minute. I give example with the recent Pop in Q movie - Toei revealed teaser about six months before the release. It is true that it was a new original project and not something like Crystal with seasons behind and more than 25 year of history behind the franchise. I hope we got at least key visual soon. Even Crystal season 1 had its key visual released about 4-5 months before release, so I hope we got something soon. I'm extremely frustrated and my pregnant madam at home is in crisis for getting old and a mother before seeing in it - women logic.

I will retire only after Crystal is over.... So i will most likely be in my 40s
Many forum members here are around 30, w/ some being older or younger than that, so being 40 something isn't that far from the median age even now, not to mention that 40 will become the median age here by then. :P

Are we even still sure they're doing movies? When Osabu was at Anime Expo, he spoke of it as the "fourth season" (at least, the interpreter translated his remarks that way). So perhaps he misspoke or the interpreter misspoke or they're referring to the movies as a season four, but also perhaps they've changed their mind and are going to do a regular TV season now instead of two films.

That nights make sense. The original announcement of movies.Made an uproar .We just have to wait, and see.Maybe it will be both the first several chapters will be adapted as episodes. That the last few chapters as movies.

I guess its possible they'll do movies and then split them into episodes

Ya know. I try to keep it in the back of my mind that the Dream movies are being made and just wait for something. Sailor Moon has made me realize just how old I am everytime I see it. Lol.

Honestly, I do appreciate coming here to see if we get news but it's also interesting to see new posts and uncover new folks to Sailor Moon.

It sounds weird but I find it a little neat when newly formed members come here via Crystal...

Makes me feel like a pioneer (grandpa) of Sailor Moon when they say they were introduced through Crystal and I have a 90s tag on my forehead.

I can really tell I'm in love with series cause I don't wait for anything else like I do for this anime. I'm not that big of a fan of DBS but I do like Dragon Ball and that makes me feel old too..

I do wonder if there will be another spinoff in the distant future...I'll be 60 and I'll have one of those, "Back in my day speeches" and the young kids will look at me like I'm an old idiot rambling about some champion of justice..
