Just like DBS movies?

If their gonna make those 2 movies then a series I do hope the series has filler.
Nah, I guess they will release it via Crunchy as episodes from the movies the way they did with Digimon Tri. Or VIZ will make a cinema broadcast which will be bad for me as in my hell of a country I have no legal access to anything... This movies will be the Crystal take of Dream, and their success will determine the future of Stars, which I'm not particularly excited for - the arc in the manga is too brisk so either movies or tv episodes - a direct adaptation will not work well.... I guess the moie format will work slightly better for the brisk narrative

Its not going to have filler.Crystal is a manga adaption.
I never said "it will have filler." What I said was "I do hope the series has filler." =^_^=

I do want those side stories adapted as well but have very little expectations they'll be included.

Re-hiring Kazuko Tadano makes you want to second guess what TOEI is up to.

I think we'll be extremely lucky if the movies give us a panel by panel adaptation from the manga. The likelihood of us getting any type of filler content for Dream feels very slim.

Movies dont movie fast - expect a LONG wait - the Haikara san movie was announced in 2016, part 1 got released end of last year and part 2 is only out back end of this year. DVD probably wont be out till Spring 2019 - so like 3 years or more from first announcement to being available on home media in Japan - expect a MUCH longer wait for foreign climbs...

What frustrate me, is that with Dragon Ball Super: Broly, we got everything few months after Super ended (character arts, trailer, release date) while with Crystal, its been over 2 years already, and we only know who will be director and character designer, to think one of most beloved franchise will have such low priority :(

Which sux becuz it is not made a priority for Toei. Which is incredibly frustrating, they have treated a very beloved anime series by millions around the world like a piece of garbage to be quite honest. As if it's their scraps now. I'm so angry with this company. The reboot could have been made so amazingly done without all the inconsistencies and constan changes in designs. So ridiculous...

True. They didn't know how popular it still is - I remember when the first trailer was out it had over 2 mln. views in just a day - it has about 7 mln. now which is something i haven't seen for anime - related video on youtube. When Dreams trailer is out nobody would even remember there were supposed to be Crystal movies... I still don't get it why they suddenly decided on movie format...

We're entitled to that considering it once was what it was... being #1, as it should be now.
It was never its number one show . It was popular, but pretending it was number 1.Is an exaggeration at best. I'm not saying Crystal shouldn't be treated better .Just acting like itshould be Toei s main priority now is silly .Just like Toi is not entitiled to fan apreaction . They are not entitiled to make more sailor moon.

Granted... I understand. However, then let another company take over who would be more passionate about the franchise.

Could one reason be that in a male dominated society shojo anime like SM don’t get prioritized? That could be one reason why PGSM had only one season.

LOL NO.

Look how many seasons Precure has had.

Simple fact - money talks and barring notable exceptions toku is 1 year.

Theres no evil plot to deliberately delay its just available of staff / time to do it. Something will be announced when they have something to show for it - Im thinking next year to coincide with Super S being released on blu-ray.
