They should have started the series with this style.
But... If there hadn't been Sakou for season 1 and season 2, we wouldn't have any "base" or "fundamental" for this design :happy::happy:
Look at Mako's hair. The color is 95% alike Sako's.:bow::bow:
In terms of Tuxedo Mask, he still remains his bishounen style but looks manlier the same time
It is nice looking!

To me it also looks like a mix between Sakou and Tadano, and it makes totally sense, since it's "Sailor Moon Crystal". And Tadano's art style ist probably the most popular and associated with the Dark Kindom arc in the 90s anime.

I like it, it's well drawn and has right proportions, expressive faces/eyes and dynamic poses.

BUT...for my taste too chibi/childish. For this game partnership it's fine, but for the Dream Arc movies i want something more elegant and more "adult". I think Tadano's character design is actually my favourite, i even prefer it lately over Ikuko Itouh's amazing design. I wanna see an evolution of her 90s style in a more frown up version. Please no MOE style, I already found the characters in season 3 too young looking. 15 year old girls are young women and don't have to look like elementary school kids.

So I think this art style does not represent the character design for the upcoming movies. It's more of a safe choice that will please everybody. They might go the same way with the movies, but I bet it's gonna be a bit different. Please. lol.
This style is clearly chibified version of art that while not as serious as Sako is not as cutsey as Season 3 style. I cannot wait to see the actual designs and if these are hinting towards them. The hair has no bubbles, the eye shape is nice, Rei and Mako has the right hair-color back and even chibified the art is very detailed. Tons of potentials.

I dn't mind cute art if done right. These evoke 10th anniversary manga art. Season 3 had some traces of very cheap and a little hentai-ish moe which rubbd me the wrong way. One thing I like in these new art are Usagi hair, although I am a dan of Sako art I didnt like the tips of Usagi's pigtails. In Season 3 her hair was too thin, and here it looks jyst right. The princess Serenity's hair is perfect. Look at the eyes - not just the shape is different but the irises has differnt shimmer for each senshi, making each one unique. Hope this translates in the animation.
The art looks fine, but what I find interesting is, is that an RPG game being made? If so, I hope it'll be good...
it is just a colaboration with a game for a limited time only.

I see, drats.

Speaking of moe, I heard that Hotaru in the original anime actually is a moe style, but she wasn't done in the hentai-esque way.
