Black Lady or Mistress 9

These two have similarities. They were young, but they became adults when they became Black Lady, and Mistress 9. They were best friends, and they still were very popular villains in Sailor Moon.
So, do you prefer the Queen of Darkness, Black Lady (Chibiusa)

Or the Messiah of Silence, Mistress 9 (Hotaru)

For me, in 90's anime, Mistress 9 wins. I love how Mistress 9 and Hotaru's soul hits each other, plus she looks so lovely, especially her long hair!
But in Manga, Black Lady. I remember how much I cried when Sailor Pluto dies, and Black Lady cries, and purifies as Chibiusa. Plus, she has more story in it. (But as for she uses Luna P as a weapon in 90's anime, it is cool, though)

I don't consider mistress 9 like a Black lady. Because Black lady was Chibiusa brainwash.Why Mistress 9 was an alien that took over Hotaru's body. I do prefer the manga black lady . Because I like her development.

Mistress 9 is a foreign entity who invaded Hotaru's body. They are two different beings. The only thing in common is that Chibiusa and Hotaru's bodies were matured (well, until manga/Crystal Mistress 9 ripped through Hotaru's body).

While that's true, my theory about Mistress 9's look is that it's still based on how Hotaru would look if she were grown up, & the two really look that way in the show.

Anime Black Lady and Manga/Crystal Mistress 9.

I vote for anime Black Lady because that my preferred take on the character, as she is more pure hate. While anime and manga Mistress 9 are similar, I voted the latter because I prefer the character dynamics there.

It would have been interesting if when Mistress 9 took Chibi-Moon's heart crystal, that inside, Chibi-Usa were conscious and were more actively helping Hotaru fight off the power of the invader, sharing with her the memories where Chibi-usa had been brainwashed and was able to come back from that.

I pick Mistress 9 because she is awesome and she's my favorite villain. All of the versions of Mistress 9 are amazing, plus I vote for the 90s Anime and the Manga/Crystal versions of her.

I personally love black lady’s design more its it gives you that hit of “this is usagis kid” cause it looks like an evil version of sailormoon I do really like mistress 9 but black lady (anime) gets the vote from me

Black Lady. Reminds me of Darth Vader, which is the more interesting backstory of the two for me. For some reason, Mistress 9 reminds me of those symbiotes from Marvel's Venom.

I agree with a lot of others -- I like the manga Black Lady, and the 90's anime Mistress Nine.

Mistress 9 is just such a badass villain -- her design is beautiful, too. I like how cold and evil she is compared to the sweet and innocent Hotaru She was ok in the manga too, but I feel the 90's anime did a slightly better job with her.

I thought Black Lady was kind of "eh" in the anime, maybe because I don't like Chibiusa, although she is cooler than Chibiusa. However, I do remember enjoying her in the manga, in particular, her reaction to Pluto's death was really touching.

How?

Refers to possessed living thing as Hosts. Starts out as alien creature. Takes control of host body. Unlike Venom and other Klyntar symbiotes, Mistress 9 has a more parasitic relationship with her host. Venom actually takes offense to being called a parasite, since he also gives to and not just takes from his host.
