To be honest, I think they dropped this project just as silently as they announced it. I don't believe there will be any more volumes. I hope I'm wrong though!
Well from what I heard they did say the were going to do a full colored version of the entire manga. Now whether that will be just the manga proper and not say the side stories or Codename Sailor V I don't know. I would love if they did the entirety of it including the Side Stories and Sailor V and I certainly hoped that they have not abandoned it or cancelled it especially since this is something that many fans I myself too have wanted especially for the purpose of seeing what many characters in the manga who were never given colored pictures look like in color. Plus I would love to finally resolve the question of between Rei's Crows which one is Phobos and which one is Deimos all though I assume that will also be resolved in the Eternal movies as well.

They have said this is color version of the complete/kanzenban edition, so it will have everything.

Guys, they in my opinion released the dark kingdom arc as soon as it was finished to have something for the face after the delay of the film. My guess is they plan on releasing full story arcs at once and this is why it takes such a long time. And didn't have anything done in advance beyond what was released. A lot of less popular manga series got full color digital editions, so I highly doubt they will stop releasing it.

I wonder how many people are in charge of this colored edition. As digital artists, having to work a huge load of images everyday is not a new thing to them.

Keep in mind Naoko might have to approve them herself and the overall quality of the coloring is actually much more detailed compared to other digital color editions I have seen - I am talking about the shading and brushes used that in this case give a more natural look, while other editions are way less intricate.

What I don't like is the skin color. It's way too yellowish, compared with Naoko's art.

I think so. You know, Kodansha has spent time and money for the first two volumes, so I believe the intention is to release the entire manga.
They might be waiting for 30th anniversary in 2022 to continue or relaunch it (hopefully with new covers....god! :dead:).

The covers.... the covers is the proof they didn't have this new edition ready to release it in 2020. The ice show poster didn't feature the Outers senshis and Chibiusa. If this new collection is called The Complete Colour Edition, that means it's the kanzenban full colour in ten volumes, one per senshi. That said, maybe Kodansha didn't have new illustrations of Uranus and company to use. Maybe the colouring process hadn't been finished yet back then. You know, it seems that the whole project wasn't polished and ready-to-serve.

Then, if we think about it, in the 20th anniversary we had the Kanzenban in Japan and the Shinshoban in the international market.
In the 25th, the Bunkoban was released only in Japan at the same time the Kanzenban was in the Int. market (plus digital edition globally).
Everything points to the Full colour being released in the 30th. If it were only digital I'd like them to release it internationally as well. But, oh well, business is business.

Exactly my thoughts. I am sure this February they will relaunch it. I do believe they might do it with different covers, because they will need the outers as well and this art was inners only as we saw the whole poster. Dear Naoko two years are enough time for you to draw 10 new covers. I love the artwork, but these cut legs and weirdness... Ofc, for people like me that bought the volumes immediately it would be nice to replace the covers for us. My biggest problem with the digital edition is the resolution - sure you can slightly enlarge it with photoshop and filters but it is way to small...
