Do we know who voiced Mistress 9 and the Sovereign of Silence?

We know Jen Gould voiced both Hotaru and Sailor Saturn (because it’s clearly the same girl) but what about Mistress 9 and the Sovereign of Silence?

Behind the Voice Actors credited Susan Aceron for Mistress 9 but I swear I heard she only voiced Trista Meioh/Pluto

Sovereign of Silence sounds like some of the monsters of the day like Ninjana from Fractious Friends.

No, we don't.

The woman who voiced The Sovereign of Silence also voiced Maya in the SS episode, "Recipe for Danger". Ninjana was voiced by Lisa Dalbello, who voiced a lot of monsters of the day for the DIC dub.

Susan Aceron ONLY voiced Sailor Pluto, despite what so many websites say. She went on record plenty of times to say she ONLY voiced Pluto. There was awhile people were crediting her for voicing nearly all of the Witches 5, and that's a total lie.

Ooof I noticed the wikias keeps crediting her for roles she definitely didn’t do

Susan Aceron

Granted fan wikias are always garbage anyways

Thanks for pointing that error out. Checked IMDB, and she was only credited for Sailor Pluto. I even checked other areas, for episodes and, with few unknowns, those other roles were credited to other voice actors. Thanks for the heads up.

Imdb is hardly a good source for stuff like this as well. It’s user edited like fan wikia. It’s just somewhat more reputable.

I think Deborah Drakeford (Fish Eye) possibly voiced Mistress 9, but I'm not 100% sure. They didn't really like doubling up voice actors much at any point in the Optimum dub. If they did, it was usually at different points in the show (for instance, none of Kirsten Bishop's numerous characters appear together in the same episodes).
I also thought it could've been Sara Sahr, but she didn't mention her. Also I doubt they would've had her voice two characters in the same episode (she voiced Petirol).

Did’t Julie Lemieux aka Optimum’s go to for little boy voices (Sammy, Pereru, young Darien) voice some of the Witches 5 when they were in shadows before their proper introductions?

It's possibly someone uncredited. Too bad we have no way of contacting Nicole Thuault to be sure. When I worked with BTVA, I remember contacting Doug Stone about voice directing Tenchi Muyo in Love, and he unearthed his casting documents to confirm some minor roles (the site still needs some updating. Eddie Frierson actually voiced the character supposedly voiced by Steve Blum), and I really wish we had the same luxury with Sailor Moon (both dubs). The Optimum dub was union at least, so at least there wouldn't be any aliases, or anything to hide (much like Tenchi Muyo in Love). The Viz dub is sadly non-union, so it would be a bit trickier.

I might've mentioned this in another thread, but I only found other voice actors by watching other series handled by Optimum Productions, or Canadian productions that featured some of the voice talents. I found Sara Sahr by chance.

Deborah Drakeford is on Facebook, but I'm too shy to message her. (it took me a while to build up the courage to message Rowan Tichenor)

Is it possible that Jen Gould also provides the voice of those two characters as well? I don't know for sure, this is just speculation since she did voice Hotaru and Sailor Saturn and since the two characters mentioned in the subject line are spirits that possessed Hotaru? As I said, this I said just speculation as I do not have a definitive answer one way or the other.

The thing is... the cast didn't have a huge range. It was pretty easy to pick up who voiced who. While they all sound *slightly* different, it's easy to tell Jen voiced Hotaru, Saturn, Himeko, Para Para and Sister Maria. Obviously Himeko and Saturn had deeper voices, closer to her own, while the others were notably younger sounding. But it was still obvious she voiced them all. Same with Kirsten Bishop's roles.

The woman who voiced the Sovereign was definitely older.

This. Bishop was an awesome performer. But you could tell Zoycite, Emerald, Kaorinite, and Bandiyanu were all done by the same women. I’m surprised how many sites seem to think she also did Tellellu when it sounded nothing like her.

I’m more than a quarter of the way through the first series in my dub rewatch when I get to S and SuperS I’ll keep an ear out for anyone who sounds like Mistress 9 ;)

The woman who voiced the Sovereign was definitely older.
I was about to say the Sovereign sounded relatively middle aged to me

I read from some Sailor Moon websites and voice acting websites that Jennifer Gould voiced Mistress 9 in the Optimum dub, but I don't know if it's true or not. As for the Messiah/Sovereign of Silence, I'm not sure who does the voice for her.

It’s still unconfirmed who voiced the Sovereign or Mistress 9.

Interestingly enough, the Sovereign’s actress also voiced Animal Instinct in R, as well as the older woman Maya in SS.

Hopefully we will get some answers someday and that is interesting that the Messiah/Sovereign's actress also voiced those other two characters you mentioned.

No, as talented as Miss Gould is you can tell Hotaru, Saturn, and Himeko are all voiced by the same person and Mistress 9 voiced by someone else.

Oh okay and it's too bad that there isn't any information about Mistress 9's Optimum dub voice actress. Hopefully someone would say who the real voice actress is someday and put the actual information about her instead of saying that Susan Aceron or Jennifer Gould did the voice of Mistress 9 in the Optimum dub.
