I actually do like it even though I personally prefer the original Eternal form. I would probably like it more if she had actual wings. I always felt that the Eternal form would be beautiful if instead of the wings being a bow that Eternal Sailor Moon had a bow maybe a small wing like ones here but beautiful angel wings that she could fly with.

Wow it looks great! Although I think it was an implied rule in the manga that Mercury and Pluto didn't have shoulder cuffs in their base form because they were considered defensive Sailor Soldiers instead of offensive Sailor Soldiers so It looked strange for Sailor Moon to not have any shoulder cuffs. I do like it though it makes the design less bulky.

Your design is cool! I like how it uses some of Naoko's original designs with the glove cuff color and the gold stripes on her outfit. However, the skirt colors look too much like Super Sailor Moon to me. I'm not a total fan of the original skirt colors for Eternal Sailor Moon, but the Super Sailor Moon skirt colors make it look like a more minor upgrade, imo. You're so good at drawing!

I love the Eternal design as it already is (the wings and gumball sleeves make my life), but this is a pretty cool alternative, and you're a good artist to boot. Like others have stated, my only personal nitpick would be to stick closer to ESM's navy blue colors instead of going with Super Sailor Moon's lighter blue.

Thanks! Everyone has been very encouraging about this and it’s also great to get feedback. The navy of the original Eternal design is one of my disliked aspects about it (its way too dark to me) so that was the reason for the change, but I understand where you’re coming from.

While I don't dislike the original form, yours does look very nice! (And you did a great job on the face, anatomy/proportions, and general style.)

I don't mind the 'bubble gum' shoulders, but I always did find them funny and incongruous (they obscure the shape of the shoulder, don't look like armor, and she's not wearing any other pink. They'd suit Chibi-Usa better, I think). One of the few things I like best about the SuperS 'Crisis' design are those three-part seethrough shoulderpads, they look like glassy armor. But the bare look has advantages too.

I also notice a couple more details than you mentioned- the gold piping along the torso (I didn't realize that was in the original sketches), and made the belt a bit thicker on the sides. Both look cool! I especially like the thicker belt, it feels more defined than the original thin ribbon.

Bow?? Those weren't real wings?!?! :dead: I thought she just had them and never tried using them until she was in her (unnamed?) 'final'/suitless form, I didn't think she had to wait until then to grow actual wings. I mean, don't a bunch of feathers shoot out during her transformation scene in the anime?

Though they did always seem kind of stiff. Hmm. I thought that was just corner-cutting animation though.

Hmm, I could see that. That doesn't seem inconsistent with what they actually did, but, it does seem logically backward (having less armor for the defensive roles). Not that Mercury and Ami do a lot of "tanking" anyway, I don't think that comes up in the Manga and in the anime that's more Jupiter's thing. (But wait a minute, Ami does tank hits from Nehelennia in Sailor Stars when she's doing the computer studying thing... but that Ami has shoulderpads! Maybe they do make a difference XD)

Hey Silver, so I still love the actual Eternal design but looking at your rendition of it again, even though I liked yours the first time too….I’m starting to think it might actually be better than the real one. I especially love how you incorporated more yellow into her outfit.

@Sakuranbo thank you so much! Is your name a reference to that movie/manga btw?

@JayD22460 Aaaaah, thank you so much for those words. I liked alot of the ideas for the Eternal design, but not everything in the official one. The gold on the bodice and sleeves are actually inspired by Naoko's own artwork (proto-Sailor Moon and ESM off the second reprint of the manga).
