Been out of the game for a long while, so I've working to scrub off some of my rust.

Just started re-learning how to draw heads and faces, starting with a VERY rough 10-15-minute draft of Minako.

For the time it took, I feel okay about it. Could be refined though if I'm really aiming to emulate the original style, but at least my general structure and measurement strategy seems to still hold together well.

@karasu_tomoe Either way, it's good to have you back on board! :)

P. S.: Personally I'd say a Fistful or so per post would be more convenient to read.

Btw, those twenty minutes weren't even enough time for me to draw :ami:'s face. Takes me muuuuch longer. ;)

Well, thanks!

Another practice. Kinda cheated and used a reference, and even then, not entirely 100% accurate, and the fact that it took over 20 minutes just to draw a head with all that is a bit telling...

Mostly just trying to make sure my framework is consistent, which it seems to be for the most part. But seeing as I still want to get into fancomics, my big focus right now is more in my speed.

Btw, if decide to post more sketches, is it okay to make a new post for each one, or would it be better to wait until I have a larger batch of things to post all at once?

Guess I'll bump just to post this thing I'm working on, because I'm hoping I can get some help with it. She's an original Daimon design I'm working on for my fanfic/fancomic idea. Haven't given her an official name yet, but for now I'm just designating her as "Arma."

So, as you can probably tell, she has a sort of military commando / army girl theme going on. Also however, I feel I should mention she was heavily inspired by the Trooperoid from the Monster Girl Quest games. (Look this up at your own risk... >_>)

I had committed to giving her mechanical "chicken-jointed" legs like you see in things like Mech Warrior (I think). Her right arm will also probably be mechanical and carry a mounted weapon like a gatling gun or something. But I feel I REALLY got overambitious and should have actually learned out to design and draw mecha before jumping into this approach... So, if anyone has any thoughts or advice, I'd love that, as these limbs are really not turning out right at all. O_o

Side-note: Turns out I have no idea how bras work. lmao

@karasu_tomoe Reposting these from the Crystal Thread. Not the old Anime but perhaps it'll still help you a little. :ami:

UPDATE: And FINALLY some 'Oldschool' Senshi Sketches!

P. S.: Now these are big enough that you could actually print them for your own purposes (i. e. if you would copy-paste them into let's say Photoshop or Paintbrush). And the first one even shows the heights in comparison!

So yes, MinakoMoments, those ARE useful. Arigatou Gozaimasu. ::love::
