That mangaka Naoko married is the creator of Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter.

He overworks and ends up in the hospital. That's why she drew some pages for him. I do not hate her husband when I say this. But his addiction and hostile nature seems to bother me.

He strikes me as a very peaceful, nice man who just wants to be left alone... his fans are the ones harassing him and being hostile. If the man wants to take a break or a hiatus or not finish his manga, don't bother, don't harass him; let him be happy.

It's called identifying with characters. Girls identify with girly girls in frilly skirts, men identify with naked-chest macho heroes. This is one of pillars all works of art were built on throughout the history, so I doubt you indeed don't understand this concept.

Sailor Moon doesn't have any macho male heroes. Tuxedo Mask doesn't even have balls to kick butts of those butch lesbians who repeatedly make advances on his girlfriend. No real man can ever identify with a male character like him. No real men watch Sailor Moon.

We lost a few posts from this thread due to transition. But to give everyone who missed it a quick summary of what was deleted: Ryo Urawa admitted that after watching too much Sailor Moon he started to gradually lose interest in girls and now is more attracted to handsome boys.

Some guys like shojo anime, just like some girls like shonen anime like Full metal alchemist or attack on titan.Its just a preference thing nothing more

I'm a big sci-fi fan but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy comedy or action genre shows/films.
As far as anime is concerned, yeah, my core preference is mecha, but that doesn't mean I can't or shouldn't like Magical Girl anime. (put these two together and I'm very happy ).
Sailor Moon was one of my first anime so it and the genre are never out of bounds for me.
