These days you have a point as you can go to any wiki and browse until you find the name, but if you don't know how to spell it, you might not be able to find it. It doesn't help if you don't outright catch the names and mistyping a name might not get you what you want..
Many, many, years ago I was looking up the Japanese name of a character, but I forgot how to spell it. Instead of swallowing my pride and looking up the English dub equivalent, I typed in "Juuichi" instead. I had mangled the spelling so bad that Google didn't autocorrect what I had written.
I will never get those...images of that...bear...out of my mind.
But as to the original post, assuming Ikuko wasn't killed off, she was probably proud of her daughter. However, I could see where the two of them would have become slightly distant at that point, especially with the fact that becoming Neo-Queen Serenity, Usagi was choosing her past life to an extent over her present one.
