I feel like nowadays Sailor Moon is mostly popular with older fans who grew up with the original anime in the 90s. So is Sailor Moon still popular with younger anime fans or are they more into new shows like Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia etc? How do younger fans find out about Sailor Moon since it's not on TV anymore? Which version is most popular with younger fans? The 90s anime, Crystal, the manga, or even PGSM?

Thanks to Crystal's success here in Italy, it is becoming very popular among children. I Also read that a kit of Young girls are asking for Sailor Moon dolls and the Moon Stick

I play Miitomo almost every day and you get rewards for sharing two "sidekick" characters every day, I always share a SailorMoon and a SailorMars. I also add a "Moon Prism Powwah!" themed photo as a comment to each. Mostly "kid" characters say they love Sailor Moon, someone recently commented that he watches every day. Then again few adults to play Miitomo at all.

Another thing though, "I'm watching a new episode of Sailor Moon" implies Crystal, which is a show aimed at adults rather than teenagers (or children in the case of DiC/Cloverway.)

I recently gave a plug to this forum on Twitter when Sailor Samara (great SM and Disney YouTube videos if you haven't seen her) tweeted a complaint about SM Facebook groups, there were two people (not her) who complained about bullies 10 years ago who were since banned, but if more people new about this forum and that we're a friendly place (I don't know anything about bullies in the past) we'd have more activity of all ages.

Actually Sailor Moon Classic was always aimed at children, even in Japan.
Really? With all the obvious PG-13 content? It's not exactly the innuendo you'd find in Rugrats or Animaniacs.

They don't pixellate anymore? Or do you mean they allow shaved now but not bush?

They pixelated it or used various other means to block it, or as you said, shaved it (as long as the genitals weren't seen) back then.

Sailor Moon is not all that PG-13 compared to any actual PG-13 movies that come out in this day of age. PG-13 movies these days are far more intense than ever that it makes classic look PG.

And shows like Rugrats and Animaniacs did have some "questionable" content in them. Rugrats had that one episode where the grandpa mentions that he has these tapes for the kids and 1 tape for him depicting a "sexy woman" on there. This obviously hints that he was wanting to watch porn and he even said "but this one is after you guys get going to bed". And Animaniacs had some "scantly clad" women on there such as the nurse and many others. There are indications that the 2 male characters get aroused whenever they see a "hot and sexy" woman.

Anyway, I hear it is pretty popular with younger people.

Yeah, I guess it's more PG, that's what the Viz sets say. But it's definitely not Y7.

Worse, she wasn't even a woman, she was a green-skinned "lonely space vixen."

Don't forget how they sang songs about Heidi Fleiss.

Y7 is more G than PG if anything. Many Y7 shows happen to have many things found in common with Disney films such as fight scenes that are "hardly violent".

Worse, she wasn't even a woman, she was a green-skinned "lonely space vixen."
Yep and to think that there really is porn for that in the real world, which there is. And the whole space vixen thing makes it sound like it is a "breaking the rules" porn film that he's watching.

Don't forget how they sang songs about Heidi Fleiss.
Yep and many other suggestive themes too.

Compared to so much out there that actually is Pg-13, they make Sailor Moon look real innocent. Sailor Moon is as PG is the original Star Wars Trilogy and the first 2 prequels.
