First off, if the Sailor Moon characters existed in the Marvel universe, they'd also have Sunfire as a national hero before Sailor Moon came along. Not to mention all the misadventures Wolverine has had in Japan.

I was thinking more Toei’s Spider-man then the entire main Marvel Universe

Though this reminds me of a really bad idea for a fanfic I had in high school where Minako knew of Gwen Stacy when they were in London and was going to travel to New York to kill the Green Goblin after finding out about Gwen’s death (I said it was a bad fanfic idea) and it was going to crossover with Spider-man (the mainstream version)

Hey, if we're going to talk a crossover of everything else Toei has done, maybe we should include the 1989 X-Men pilot done by them?

Didn't Green Goblin wind up doing himself in, and actually stayed dead for two decades? Anyway, if there was a Marvel story about Minako's time as Sailor V in London, I'd like to see it involve Excalibur. I'm pretty sure the old Excalibur comic was still in publication when Sailor Moon debuted.

Funny thing is, from what I've read, the higher-ups at Marvel insisted on the Aussie Wolverine. It wasn't some whim of the producers or writers. Of course, now that Wolverine has been portrayed by an Australian in nine movies, it's the textbook example of Hilarious in Hindsight.

I could never quite wrap my head around the concept of Comic Book Time...

And actually, it's not that bad of an idea. It's fun picturing Gobby trying to evade all the shots from Crescent Beam Shower, or him thinking Venus is dead from a pumpkin bomb when Moonies know she can tank a grenade to the face.

Let me be more blunt. I think fans are infinitely better at creating stories and dramatic plotlines for the Sailor Moon series than what we would get in actual canon from official writers. I guess I'm less imaginative in this aspect because the canon material makes it hard to believe these characters would give a hoot.
