Okay, I do think they are working on the movies. I think we will get them this year and will be released. I think the reason it's taking so long. Its partly because they didn't start until last year. Also the fact they are making two movies adapted from the manga. I imagine they're not going to announce it until the first movie is done, and the second one is mostly done.

I'm willing to wait until 2020. Unless you're a fan of Dragonball or One Piece, it seems like you've gotta have patience with TOEI. I'm sure most of their energy in 2018 was spent on the new Broly movie, and One Piece has another new movie that's due out later this year. The Dream movies, while they may be based on new material for some, is still old material by definition. Hoping for the best is basically all we can do.

No way am I thinking anything bad from this. Sailor Moon is still hot commodity & ain't no way Toei about to miss out on these potential funds for merchandise.

Are we forgetting what kind of beast we are dealing with here? This is Sailor Moon. A still popular & profitable anime. Like they would actually announce an exclusive property like this and forget about it.. lol

Toei would never. And those other movies are from filler fest shows. The Crystal manga needs to be adapted And it needs to be adapted RIGHT. They already know we not about the half done mess. I think they learned by now, that the Moon Gang

Im not for sure but I think we will get something soon enough. Lets pray to Venus that it will turn our a coherent script.

Agreed, I'm sure that we may get it considering Sailor Moon is popular, I mean if we're getting a movie stuff must be seling well. I'm saying this because yesterday I ran into a stupid Precure fangirl (as in ones who can't accept people talking negative things about her favorite show, that's the difference between a fan and a fangirl/fanboy), who when I disagreed about Precure selling more than Sailor Moon by saying "It was a cash cow and at times copycat of other magical girl shows" and she claimed to me "I think you're hard pressed to the fact Sailor Moon can't even sell today to the josei crowd LOL". See what I mean? :x

If Sailor Moon "isn't selling today", then there wouldn't have been so many new plushies, Figuarts figures and Memories Girls figures being sold, nor would it have been brought back, getting another new version of the manga even.

There's also the new Digimon movie...which is likely to suck like Tri did.

Sailor Moon is definitely selling. People also forget that unlike Sailor Moon, Pretty Cure isn't a big hit in ever country. Sailor Moon had a release in some American theaters. How many anime get released in the movies after more than 20 years?

Pretty Cure is good in it's own right for its audience but SM is pretty much for everyone imo. Full of mature characters and arcs.

I've watched Pretty Cure the Yes Pretty Cure only because it looked like Sailor Moon..lol

I know folks that have looked at Pretty Cure and said, is that a new kind of Sailor Moon? Even folks that don't watch anime know who Sailor Moon is, none of them know much about Pretty Cure and they wonder if it's a show about medicine or something.

Miss Universe Japan picked Sailor Moon to represent her, not a Cure.

And arguably, Sailor Moon is good enough to have the same girls each season, Pretty has to change them to keep the series somewhat interesting.

That's like me and this guy at work bickering about Ultimate Goku beating Sailor Moon and I'm like...how..fool? Sailor Moon is pure cosmic energy..she don't need any ki...She will crush them all...well Sailor Cosmos would be no problem.

Is it related to the first series?
Yeah, for it's 20th Anniversary. It's supposed to be set a few years after Tri and has some of the original staff back.....except the director who quit.

Sadly, it is still Toei, and sometimes they can look like complete amateurs (Rushed first two arcs of Dragon Ball Super, poorly made 1st season of SM Crystal) sometime i wish they would let other company do SM series (Like with Saint Seiya Lost Canvas and Saintia Shou)

Even if Part 1 is going to be released this year, it will probably be in autumn, otherwise we would have seen some promotion by now. And if it hit the theaters in Japan in the autumn, by the time the rest of the world being able to see them, it will already be 2020.
