I’m imagining they announce Tadano as the character designer. The Starlights will look all younger, with that empty look in their eyes, a bit of blushing cheeks and awkward poses. I bet that’s going to happen.

In japan it is when it comes to sells. The only season that each volume made the Orecon chart. Eternal was a movie, you cannot really compare the ticket sells, but it didn't sell well on home video.

That'd be bad. At least they won't be PreCure-fied though. Idk if I could handle that look for them in those types of outfits.

I don't like Tadano's new designs but they are still way better than Season 3. I cannot imagine the horribleness of Stars designed by Akira.

About the Starlights, if they don't look downright ugly like in Sailor Stars that would be an advancement.

I would love to see their other spells and abilities from the Materials Collection especially Star Healer Worm but since this is just an exact 1 to 1 page per page adaptation that is still saving up on certain frames/scenes (cough, cough ) I don't think they'll be as creative like they did with the last 2 episodes of season 3.

What did they do there - I really cannot remember. I was too distracted by the endless recapping in the last episode at the beginning and after the eye catch. It was unique I guess - wasting solid 5 minutes in your final episode. But I do not remember giving them any surprising new attack animation in the last two episodes.

There aren't any. Well there's that battle with Ptilol & Cyprine but we're talking about the last 2 episodes. It's actually just additional animations needed to fill in the gaps. Like flying straight up the sky. The series added a start up. They've added more and a omitted just a few (like an announcement Tokyo is under Martial Law).

Yeah, I have to admit, some scenes had nice direction. And actually this particular scene is quite good and Saturn looks beautiful and determined. I can see what you mean here, it is more dynamic. I don't know why Kon decided to direct the Eternal final battle so stiffly. I guess it might have been covid/schedule problem as she can totally direct more dynamic battles. I have to admit Saturn looked beautiful here, goodanimator I guess. But then when it comes to direction season 3 was a huge improvement over S1-2, I might not like the designs, but the rest of the show was much improved.

Oh yes, it can't be worst than Sailor Stars when it's about the Starlights ^^
Since Takeuchi didn't want to give them these ugly ponytails at first but was forced by Bandai to make dolls, wouldn't it be nice if they suppressed these ponytails in the future Stars arc ? I wouldn't mind honestly.
And I didn't really like the Starlights VA, Taiki's was the worst, I hope we can get very different voice for them.
