Crystal has more than enough licensing, which I said, way more than Pretty Cure. I know my English is bad... but I doubt I said the opposite. And nobody really care about their butchered Glitter Force. They basicaly the most popular Pretty Cure and ruined it. To say nobody cares about Crystal is exaggeration. Glitter Force has been dubbed in a way nobody over 10 would survive it, and kids under 10 don't live on Netflix.

false, the financial number prove it, Glitter force is a financial success and is pretty in more country than sailormoon Crystal. Only few otaku are bothered by the fact Glitter Force is a butchred version of Pretty Cure and they are adult, so they are not aimed by the serie(As I said, Toei refuse pretty Cure to be aimed for adult, their forbid in the serie panty shot and swimsuit without towel or vest, they also forbid tthe heroine to be hit on the face, they claim they want the serie to be only for kids)

And as I said, in France most of the Kid under 10 are on netflix because their parent to pay for kid channel.

And actually, the number Kid channel in france have only 2% of rating(in the 90's it was around 60%) is more popular on it's replay web service than during his airing. Kid are not anymore on TV, they watch TV on tablet or on online service

Give m a break both Crystal , and Glitter force was successful in differet s ways . Crystal has a lot countries dubbing it, and had a season, and movise now . Now if it really was a failure they would stop at the second season. Glitter Force had a season. So if it was a failure they would not hadd a season 2 . Kids obviously were watching it.

Crystal made it to few countries, actually. It didn't reach any country from Eastern Europe and Latin America besides Mexico so far.
Glitter Force has been dubbed into 2 times more languages than Crystal, thanks to its Netflix distribution.

That doesn't surprise since Netflix always dub their shows in every launguage

Doesn't change the fact Crystal made it to MUCH less countries than expected for a Sailor Moon revival. Where's Spain? Where's Poland? Where's Russia? Where is every country in Latin America but Mexico?
And most importantly, where's Turkey? (Commenting on behalf of an unbannable forum member here.)

And it's false to Think Toei is interested only by domestic money, they made most of the saint seiya anime since Omega for Western audience(the idea of Saint seiya Omega came from the director of Toei France and Soul of Gold was made in Asgard because Asgard was popular in west, they made Harlock movie for Western audience, they even made Broly come back in the next Dragonball movie because Broly is popular in West. They are also making the Saint seiya Netflix series for western audience.
Toei care about the West at some level, they do not need to give up these profits. However, Toei's main profit is still domestic (the sale of merchandise in Japan gives them a lot of profits)

In fact, when they care much about the West tend to be because the franchise isn't so popular in Japan.

PS: They say that Broly has popularity in Japan too.

Sorry for the off topic question, but this is one of the more lively topics, so I decided to ask here. Do you know about other instance where movies were streamed on crunchyroll soon after their premier in Japan like Digimon tri - either chopped into episodes or not. As a fan from Eastern Europe, I am being horrible wanting them to not release it on theaters in America, because I don't wanna wait at least an year after the movie is done to watch it. Please forgive me not wishing you a lovely proper theatrical release, although I bet most of you would rather watch it earlier on stream. We can even make a live stream out of it watching it all together.

Is "Glitter Force" really a thing? Do people watch it?
Yes, Glitter Force is a thing. I believe that it's the English dubbed version of Smile PreCure and Doki Doki PreCure.

Well the first two seasons had decent sells 5 to 2,5 in a month is considered a small success in anime sells. The third season sold sbout 300-500 units. The first two seasons sells started dropping after Crystal started its tv broadcast. Tv shows are much easily accessible than ONA and movies. I believe this is the reason the sells dropped as soon as it started being on tv. I believe this is why they are trying theatrical release now.
