Prolly just to give it a latino feel.
And not sure why, but being a French speaking person from birth, La Smoking Bombin makes total sense to me(doesn't sound wrong, sure it's a mix of language, but the "la" doesn't seam totally out of place).. (for this case, it's not the french "La" as in the designing a feminine word. but more a "voila" kind of thing... I can't explain it heh).
Anyways... "La soldier, La moon", etc. it really just gives a latino/salsa kind of thing to it.
