Once again, those aren't FUNi or Viz, and won't give us an idea for what to expect. :P MLP: FiM is on DVD in the US through Shout! Factory and the UK by Clear Vision (and in AU by Madman), same with Doctor Who having completely different circumstances.

It's definitely the Viz masters on Animelab.
Is Crystal already up on there? If so then how are the subs?

I guess Jerome Mazandarani's balls are spared from the door then heh.

(Actually, Jerome stepped down left Manga Entertainment a little more than two weeks ago according to ANN. Hope he didn't let the door hit him on the way out. xD)

Nice to see that some region 2/B-countries will get the Viz set(?)

I'm still hoping to finally see the entire Swedish dub released on DVD/Blu-Ray/Heck any format, Plus Licens even reacquired the rights for Sailor Moon here back in 2011, but so far nothing has happened. This is some good news at least.

I'm getting the Aussie videos, just like I did with "Sailor Stars". I hate how Viz runs their business in the Americas, and the less money I have to give them the better. The shipping will be a tad higher, but that's it.

I'm a self hater; I prefer any other English speaking developed country except for the USA.

Hang on, you know it's going to be the same over there as it is here right? Same dub, same subs, same quality (confirmed above), everything but with different region codes.

Viz will still profit from your purchase.

Madman may be the distributors but they have to pay Viz for allowing them the license to distribute Viz DVD's. Because Viz still made the dub, sub and quality.

In other words, Viz take a cut of the profits Madman make in the purchase of Viz DVD's.

Then, I'll buy the DVDs in some other language. :evillaugh:
Thing is, the European DVD's cost £60 in the UK

In US Dollars that would mean 74 dollars.

I can buy them from any other (even non English speaking) country that has licensed and remastered Sailor Moon. I speak several of other languages aside from English: I had mentioned in these forums that I'm a polyglot. As long as Viz has nothing to do with it, I'm good.

I'm getting "Crystal" straight from Japan through a navy friend, for it's cheaper than buying it from Amazon.

I think people are forgetting which country has the second best video quality!

@Otakumon Here is how to screw Viz out of profit!
1. Go to the China sea
2. Buy a ship
3. Buy a computer
4. Buy a eye patch and peg leg
5. ????
6. YOU ARE A PIRATE! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMhfbLRoGEw

^I'm already a pastafarian, so I'm a pirate by default.

I know some Canadian French, but I imagine European French can't be THAT different. I was considering Italian or German, though.

To my knowledge it isn't that different, but I do know that Canadian French has some American terms that aren't in European French....mainly sports related though.

I did hear that the Italian release had better quality than the French Kaze release though, but I would buy the French version because it is the language I'm second best at (and still not pretty good)

Keep in mind that Kaze is owned by Viz Media Europe. :)

Unless Viz is directly partnering with Madman, they actually won't get a cent. Toei technically owns everything Viz does.
