Palador, I think it's awesome that the writers have done a good enough job to question if moon is the princess.

However, There are certain main plot points that need to be held to in order for it to be Sailor Moon - the Sailor Moon that Naoko created.

And one of those is a. Sailor moon is the moon princess and 2. Endymion and Serenity are lovers from their past life. If Venus was serenity than Endymion would have been in love with her. Thus no point to the Sailor moon/tuxedo kamen love plot.

I mean, it's fun to guess, but deep in your heart you must know Moon is the princess.

But what if this isn't the same Sailor Moon? What if there are subtle differences (which there are) that make this different from what we know?

I'm not saying that Sailor Moon may not be the princess, but I am saying that it's very possible that she isn't. And of course, she may be the princess.

There's plenty of evidence that Sailor Moon is the princess. I'll grant that. But there's plenty of evidence that Sailor Venus is the princess. Some of it is subtle, but it's there. My conclusion is that there is not enough information to accurately say if Sailor Venus is the decoy and Sailor Moon is the princess, or if Sailor Venus is the princess and Sailor Moon is her protector. In fact, Act 23 seem to reinforce the latter.

I'll wait to see what happens in the next few episodes before making a judgement, and I'm not willing to make assumptions based on what has happened on outside of the show.

How exactly did Act 23 reinforce the latter? Just because Artemis yells out "princess!"?

There certainly a lot more evidence which supports the notion that Venus is a decoy. Wasn't there another thread that explained all this?

No. The clues that I picked were a bit more subtle than that. There just a lot of small things that seemed to point towards Venus being the princess.

One thing that puzzle's me though is Venus declaring to Mars that Mars is the leader. Venus was the designated leader in the manga, and that was the main reason why she was woken first and had the job of getting everyone together. Makes me wonder what exactly is going to happen to Venus' status when Moon is revealed to be the princess.

If they don't put Shibby in that hot prince of Earth armor, I'm going to bitterly dissapointed.
In my opinion, I think Venus insisted that Mars is the leader's because she thinks she is dying and wouldn't last to protect the princess and the groups as well.

About the whole "Venus might be the princess" thing... Well, I'm afraid that I highly doubt it. No matter how much the series went into cross roads from the anime and manga plot, the writers would still stick to the main reasons to why this story is formulated... Sailormoon is the Moon princess. I believe that that is the main message they wanted to tell us.

Another thing is that, according to the plots, Mamoru aka Tuxedo Kamen is Prince Endymion, and Prince Endymion is the Moon Princess's soul mate. It would be too obvious that Usagi us the princess as the in this whole live action plot, they have centered in Usagi and Mamoru's relationship when it comes to the romance department. With the firstly infamous Mamo and Usa's "hate" towards each other, and then Mamo's finding out on Usa's ID, then comes Usa's feelings towards Mamo, Mamo's feelings towards Usagi, Hina's triangle, Hikari's appearance to trigger her feelings and courage towards Mamoru and lastly, her sadness over Mamoru's engagement.

Don't you think it would be kind of wasting the money and eps if Venus is the princess all the way but they've centered on Usa and Mamo's relationship when they should've just made Mina and Mamo's relationship closer? I mean, HELLO, Mina hasn't even caught a glimpse of Mamo for even 3 times. And if they do that, they would have to hurt everybody's feelings when the whole princess and love thing happens. 1) Hina's heartbreak 2) Usagi's heartbreak 3) Mamoru's heartbreak 4) Minako's heartbreak (Hey, you can't say that she won't be hurt seeing that Mamoru's in love with Usa and to add up, Usa's supposed to be her "protector" [If she's the princess, that is... :| ])

And ALSO, Venus did mentioned in one of the early early early eps that "Looks like History can't help but repeat itself" (something like that), when she was up in a bridge, witnessing Moon and Tux interact.

Sorry for my rambling, just my 2 cents onto the table... ^_^
