Can you recommend any Jpop artists or songs that are kind of popish? I've listened to Namie Amuro's Queen of Hip Hop album and loved it. Any suggestions?
I like anything by Ayumi Hamasaki, especially Bold & Delicious lol! Utada Hikaru is nice too. :innocent:
It's sad that both have become relatively "out" these days, especially sad in my case regarding the latter. :( Amuro is still kicking, tho. :)

I admit I haven't listened much to Namie Amuro ( I think that's her name) I think she did and ending song to inuyasha I enjoyed though! The J-Pop I've listened to So far has been Ayumi, Utada, TM Revolution, Olivia lufkin, L'arc en ciel, and Tsukiko Amano lol. I guess I do like Puffy Ami/Yumi a bit too...and countless anime OSTs sung by various artists!

I don't listen to J-POP. Or at least not a lot of it. Honestly, the only J-POP I listen to would be: EGOIST. Aside from EGOIST, I don't like much of the genre.

I listen to some other stuff...but SPYAIR doesn't count as pop (even then I don't listen much to SPYAIR but I do like them). I've listened to some of BOA's Japanese releases....and some of 2PM's Japanese releases as well. I didn't know that 2PM (a Korean boy-group) sang the ending theme for Blue Exorcist.

Does FEMM count? They're a Japanese duo that sings in English-they're electro pop.

They count - prior to them there're also J-pop groups whose songs' lyrics are predominantly in English, e.g. Love Psychedelico (whose musical style is also heavily Westernized, BTW). :)

I don't know much jpop, but you do you like E-girls and their subgroups? I quite like FLOWER, and I would like their album Hanadokei, but I'm not sure if I want to import any CDs from Japan with how much they are compared to ours. :P

Ah, unfortunately, that link is private.
I'll update the link (if I can find another suitable clip of it) when my ongoing link checking/updating has reached that part in due course, or if you don't wanna wait, you may search it yourself w/ the song & group titles in that entry. :)

Pls note that my checking/updating of the song lists has now become less frequent because (1) the linked clips on them have now been taken down less frequently, & (2) I haven't got as much time to do it now.

As I've no longer got the time to check whether the clips linked in the entries have been taken down, in such case you may try finding another clip of the song yourself by copying-&-pasting the Japanese song title in the entry to the search bar of YouTube (if the song title is wholly in English, just retype it; if partially in English, retype its English part). :)
