I didn't know it was Osabu's suggestion to make a story about a sailor-suited girl fighting crime that led to the birth of Codename: Sailor V. It was interesting to learn that Naoko was the one who came up with the title "SuperS" for the anime's 4th season. It was also her idea, not Toei's, to produce a new anime adaptation for the franchise's 20th anniversary. It was fascinating to read how popular the Moon Stick was back in the '90s. They would sell out before employees could finish stocking them on the shelves. Insane!

As the popularity accelerated, many related goods that were not originally planned came out, but the popularity was far higher than expected.
"I was impressed when I made the" Moon Stick "toy, which is an item in the latter half of the first term. Mr. Takeuchi is a person who has a strong commitment to design, so design your own. It was hoped, but due to the tight schedule of the manuscript, it was difficult to start designing, and at the end, in the situation that "If you do not start tomorrow's mold production, you will not be in time for the year-end sales season", at midnight At the coffee shop, I had you draw an elaborate design on a paper napkin. The person in charge of Mr. Bandai who was present took the napkin and delivered it to a trader in Osaka on the morning first Shinkansen, and managed to get things done."
I think he said something similar about the Spiral Heart Moon Rod in an older interview (it's on Miss Dream.) Maybe there was a mistranslation or he remembered wrong. Or Naoko Takeuchi just drew two items at a restaurant late at night lol.

Either way, this kind of information makes me wish they'd rerelease the old toys from the 90's or something. There's a lot of history behind them.

And also, that "SuperS" was for Super Sailor Moon & Super Sailor Chibimoon.

Osabu's comments at the end (about how Sailor Moon is like a Silver Crystal that shines differently with the light of each generation) make me hopeful about the future of the franchise (namely, that it will have a future after Crysternal )
In before the next anime is called Sailor Moon Silver Crystal. P-:

I read that already from other articles.
