Not sure I like the art style in Eternal.

The lighting is definitely...just bad. It's so bright so they can wash out any details you should have.

When they revealed the "character designs" in 2019 I was very disappointed. But later on we got actual footage, key visuals, posters and now the actual design sheets, I find it quite pretty. If they looked a bit older it would have been perfect. Still everything is better than Season 3, even 90s Ando.

The art style looks much better than season 3, Eternal actually looks pretty. Crystal/Eternal has been bright because of the fact it was colored digitally.

I agree. A touch of shounen suits the franchise, especially when it’s about power and strengh. It’s balancing with the “pretty”.

I see what you mean now. I thought design-wise, which was sometimes the case in s 3 and gladly gone - they did look like young boys in some scenes back then. When it comes to animation, framing etc I am all for it, a s long as they do not look like boys. We have various episode of Stars for that and it looked bad. Still cannot remember that animator that drew them like MEN

I don’t mind characters like Uranus receiving that kind of detail since it suits their character. Characters like Moon though? It looks off to me. I think they can pull off fight scenes while still retaining the look, they just choose not to include that many action scenes for some reason. I guess they think the female audience isn’t into it? I don’t know. It’s strange since Precure and other mahou shoujo has so many.

That, or they couldn’t find animators skilled in that area who were available? Runtime constraints? Not enough time to animate? Who knows.
