I wanna roll around in the 90's cheese.*shrug* Who knows, they may not be rumors. The guy in charge is one of the people selling the cels on eBay, so I assume he has some sort of connection with Toon Makers. But it would be nice if there was more to back up the claims, like a teaser or something.
Considering that the video quality is mud, they probably look "sharp" because that's all the camera picked up. It would be interesting to see a higher-res version of the clip. As it is, we've spent years mixing up two of the characters because it was impossible to pick out the difference between green and blue in the clip.
Also, guys, I know Jupiter looks weird, but I'd point out that calling an African American "Gorillaface" has some unfortunate connotations.

I thought this whole issue was settled in the other Saban Moon thread.
I wasn't being serious, dude. She is making a weird face in that one scene. It looks gorilla-ish. Thus, Gorillaface. She looks fine in the other scenes though, and it's not like I said "OMFG ALL BLACK PPL LOOK LIKE GURILLAS!!1!" I'm well aware that black people used to be referred to as monkeys in a racist sense. But that's not the same context at all here. I would jokingly say "Gorillaface" if it was a white person making the same weird expression.
As an interesting side note, there is a debate on whether Jupiter is even supposed to be black at all. Some people think she's Indian.
BTW, I'm applying to be a mod at the "Saban" Moon facebook page. We'll see what happens, shall we? However, I can't release any info if I do become a mod, since I'd have to sign a legal contract forbidding me from doing so.
