I'm curious how something like that works. I did read on their Facebook page how a few mods have been relieved of their duties because of breach of contract. But how are they handling this? Do they mail legal documents to your home for your to sign? And even then, how do they know you put down your real name?
An NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) is a legally binding contract...in most cases anyway. For it to have weight, the person signing must surrender their information, like real name, address etc. In the gaming world, its frequently used for alpha/beta testers to keep them from leaking screenshots/video of the game that has yet to be released to the public
In other media, such as the Harry Potter releases for example, editors, and anyone involved with publishing the books sign NDA's to keep from disclosing details of the plot and other such things.
The terms of what could happen if you violate such a contract varies by what's written in the contract itself. For the bigger things like Harry Potter, Twilight movies, even the new Sailor Moon anime, if someone breaches the NDA it coudl very well lead to serious legal consequences.
Which kinda strikes me as odd with this SabanMoon thing....other than creative content over the cels and new designs that were actually produced...what legal grounds could they hold over someone on a property they don't have the rights to use in the first place? (Sailor Moon franchise). This facebook page sounds more like a fanpage with a highly inflated ego, even if they do have connections to ToonMakers.
