Don't worry. I'll look for them. and If Negavision comes back, let me know. I wish Negavision could do Pokemon.

You should check out Fighter4Luv's fandub. They've done all the Nehelenia arc and the first ep after. http://www.starsfandub.com/ GREAT quality
...if by "great" you mean "Hey, do you really need Sailor Stars be censored, Americanized, and just as badly handled as the old dub?"

Dubbing Stockholm Syndrome at its finest.

I take it you don't like his fandub?
I don't like any dub that treats its source material that badly. Doubly so when it's a so-called "fan".

Oh, and triply so when it's a guy that slaps his name all over other people's work and sells for it profit without permission. Even DiC did their crappy dub with Toei's okay.

That's how I feel too. Despite how much I hated what I saw of the Negavision dub, it wasn't much of a problem for me since I have the option not to watch it. But what really bothered me is that the guy behind it was selling these episodes. I'm not sure if the money he made went into his pocket or was used to create more content. Either way, it was an issue for me. And reading all of his arrogant forum posts made me dislike him even more.

Fighter4Luv does the same thing - he's proudly posted about how he sells his fandub at conventions at a profit. So it's also great the way he misleads people into thinking these are official releases.

Oh, and he steals art from other fans too to use in his dub. Just a lovely fellow all around.

Corey (Fighter4Luv) is not only ridiculously full of himself, he's also of the fervent opinion that anything that existed before he was born is irrelevant since obviously the true universe began with his immaculate conception at the end of the 80's. And no, I'm not kidding. I've honestly never encountered someone so bone-headed, narrow minded, and willfully ignorant of culture. He also gets extremely offended if you discuss things that he's not familiar with or have a superior knowledge of since apparently no one should know more about anything than he does about anything.

The selling of his fan-dub for profit irks me but it doesn't come as a surprise. He's been pretty shameless about it and is also trying to make himself something of a celebrity in the Sailor Moon fandom by producing it in the first place, quick to take ALL credit as others have noted. Anyone who isn't extremely familiar with the content of Sailor Stars (most of the casual fans) would probably be very impressed with his work. Most of the people who visit this forum, however, not so much. I will admit that his CGI and music mixing is competently done. But his attempt to try and pass off his half-baked work as even semi-official is just pure deception.

I know there are rules about "attacking" certain individuals who visit or have visited this forum at one time, but people need to be aware of this guy's BS. Selling fandubs for profit, or selling them at all in my opinion, is just wrong.

I had no idea he sold it them for profit. Is it just the cost of production for the DVDs though? I always thought he would've done it similar to the way people used to do VHS fansubs, where you paid the cost of postage and the cost of the blank VHS tape. How much are the DVDs he's charging?

I do think F4L's Fandubs does seem a lot more professional and better-produced than NegaVision's though. But I would've preferred something more of an uncut dub rather than a DiC-style dub.

You think that's bad? Corey has the VAs in his fandub under strict agreements, including the fact that they are not allowed to make any fandubs videos of any kind, including amateur ones. This could explain why some VAs such as for Sailor Uranus and sailor Mars got replaced after a while.

That's why I want to find the NegaVision dub. The charge was purely the cost of the tape. they made no profit and Negavision was a very great group.

He's had several voice actors quit or drop out for what I can only assume are reasons similar to what you've stated.

Funny, apparently the original producer of the DiC dub was an absolute nut as well according to the VAs in recent interviews. Maybe he is destined to pick up the torch? ;)

I have the 2 disk Stars DVD that Negavision put out. (I went to dig it out) It has some special features:"extras" "bonus features" and "scene access" Its been a while since I watched it. I mainly got it so that my kids could watch part of the last season in English. By now though I've played Stars soo many times in Japanese that they probably memorized the subtitles in sections.^_^;;

I would honestly be down to see an episode or two of the Negavision dub as I was only able to see clips it online back in the day when they had a site up and running. I remember being very impressed as I had never seen stars, even though the dialogue was way off. Though not nearly as off as the Fighter4Luv dub is with its made up gibber jabber purposely emulating the very worst of DiC.
