This is all I get when google image searching "Sailor Moon" and "Six fingers." It's not in the manga art errors thread either.

Looks like you're one of the only people to have noticed, then. I'm not being snarky or anything, either. I literally can't find anything about it from before today.
Naoko did the same search on Google, and after she didn't find any mentions for "Sailor Moon six fingers", she decided it was totally safe to recycle the artwork again without fixing anything.

But now that Google knows everybody noticed it, we can hope that it will be fixed at least for 35th anniversary. :O

And how many anime's have had a 3rd remake ?.............

Plenty have had do overs..Fruits Basket, Shaman King etc but can't think of any that have extended to a 3rd redo...
There are three Himitsu no Akko-chan anime series.
There are three Cutie Honey anime series (plus two OVA series).
There are seven GeGeGe no Kitaro anime series.
Etc.

It's not implausible that a series as globally popular as Sailor Moon would get another anime adaptation.

Crystal is not a remake, it's a new adaptation from the direct source: the manga. It's different from a remake. You could call it a reboot/restart but not a remake cause Crystal is not made out of the previous anime: the 1992 one.

There’s also the hope Toei will get bored with rebooting Sailor Moon and adapt another Takeuchi manga!

…who am I kidding. Cherry Project the anime is never happening.

I think they are already bored with it. Just trying to suck whatever profits they can get out of it by doing the bare minimum....(or just maybe, that's all they are allowed to do.)

They can do lots of things with each new reboot but no one is allowing them to be creative as much with it I assume. I think a lot of the staff are passionate but the overheads might not be so.

Even if we don't get a new anime. We also lack in other areas...no new video games, board games, apps to play or anything. There could be remastered or redeveloped Sailor Moon fighting games but with next Gen graphics. We could get a remake of Sailor Moon Another story (which actually would be good as a new series or short series or whatever).

I just don't want Stars to be the end and then there is a 20 year wait for anything else..lol

At the very least, we'll continue to get a new musical every year (but no cast recordings because this franchise is as inept as it is bizarre in its relationship to wanting money), overpriced generic merchandise that no one really wants but that completists will buy up nonetheless, and probably more VR / restaurant show / ice show / light show / Universal 4-D show / escape room type experiences (but only in Japan).

Afterwards, the idea for Sailor Moon Crystal is from Naoko Takeuchi.
Although I love the 90 anime, you have to be realistic, the end closes the story. I don't see how they could come up with a new story that holds up. Since the confrontation against Galaxia / Chaos is the outcome.

Doing a sequel to the manga but instead of it being in print, but in an anime version, can be doable.
There is material in the story. The Neo Queen Serenity's era, Sailor Cosmos, Sailor Chaos, there really is plenty to do.

I trully don't want a new low cost budget anime made by Toei just to get easy money for the franchise to be honest. And I also don't want another cheap project ( when it comes to the animation product itself ) like Crystal.

I totally get that Naoko doesn't want to continue the story cause it's ended for her and since she is the creator, I will always respect that and won't ask for more if the author doesn't want to carry on.

For now, as I said, the only thing I see after Crystal ends is a new adaptation based of the 90's anime ( like the Digimon Adventure remake ) aimed to younger audiences ( so it can go to TV and have decent animation ) with changes and updates to today.

A mix of 90's ( design + character personalities ) + manga plots and new secondary storylines would be a perfect match for me.

I would wish of course a high animation anime aimed to mature audiences with violence ( the ones that they toned down for Crystal ) with amazing action scenes but that's not gonna happen so....

It’s a actually kind of hilarious how the 30th anniversary announcement is more or less, “hey! It’s the same crap we’ve been doing since 2012!”

You’d think they’d do something for nostalgia purposes, like reprint certain old dolls or toys. Or you know… give us that art book they promised us ages ago. Something. Another Sanrio collab ain’t it, PnP.

Perhaps they can do a series with Senshi from other planets/solar systems.

LOL are you implying a 3rd remake of the anime ?

Aint happening in a million years.

We'll get Stars at some point but we're done with everything else now.

I want to see new material...like Usagi dealing with University entrance exams ? The university years ?
No. I'm referring to the way of how Toei keeps treating the franchise.
Dudes I just found out the inners die not only in stars and dark kingdom of the manga, but their souls get eaten in the infinity arc of the manga and that counts as a death. When they die in stars in crystal will it become a meme worthy like krillin? Lol Also I think sailor Venus is like the first person to have her own series, and die this much. Lfamo
