It doesn't even sound like Tracey Moore Serena
I'd say it kinda does minus the range and emotion she had .... on a very low-quality mic.

[I couldn't find a video w/ only Tracey Moore w/ the Japanese music]

I think it does... if she just woke up. :P

Seriously though, you can hear a bit of Tracey but there's little to no energy behind the performance. I hate AI stuff but it'd be neat if they used these tools to make an "uncut" version of the DIC dub.
It sounds dead, but you can tell it's a matter of time before AI voicing can properly emote. It sounds like a bad voice actor, but not a robot.

Yeah, I hate to think what would happen of someone used an AI Dub of Kotono's voice of her speaking English. It might sound a bit off if that happens.

This...is actually highly remarkable. That this sounds just like a "bad" vocal performance and not a completely stitched together voice in of itself is amazing. I'm pretty sure given time and refinement, this would sound more like her.

I like the fact that the pitch is lower than what Tracey typically used for Sailor Moon.

It's really sad, though, that a lot of VA's are speaking out against this technology. While I can understand the worry about impersonation, the reality is this only works if one has access to a large voice bank, and I'm pretty sure the real actor would still be more convincing.

Can you imagine if AI got to the point where it could reliably voice fanfics?

It would be great as a tool to fill in the cut portions of the dic dub

Some news from "Project Sailor Scout":

"Well. we're officially coming to a near close for episode 1 being completed.

The opening is the only thing left I am currently finalizing, then I will piece together and share the entire episode by May 5th.

After over a year of working on this, it's going to be ready to share to the world and I cannot wait to share this remake with all of you.

I am still considering the dubbing tracks and subtitles, but this release as of now won't contain them."

From Project Sailor Scout reguarding the AI voices
As for Ai Voices, I have decided to can that idea out of the window. I feel it would be wrong to use the original cast as Ai voices for an uncut version and I want to keep the original legacy of the DiC Adaptation alive.

Oh yeah, this is hot! That DiC gets ya in the old school 90's mood. I surprisingly like the Japanese with DiC music.

The Viz Dub sounds better to me with the DiC. ..lol

I think AI is more suitable for memes than something like this. If you want the DiC voice actors, then listen to that dub. Otherwise it seems inappropriate to combine someone's voice with someone else's performance. It serves no purpose.

Just wait until Hollywood decides that it is cheaper to synthesize your Dub... first partially, then entirely. They are already using dead actors that they CGI over the... greenscreen-suit (?) of an another actor. AI generates already extremely impressive results.

That's my favourite example:

If you have played FF XIV, you will be impressed how perfectly the AI Dub nails the emphasis and personality of the original actor.
