Yes! I mean, there were a lot of fun episodes but overall I’m not the biggest fan of the third arc. The first arc is kinda hit or miss too.
I enjoyed the 1st and 3rd most lol

Edit:

At this point I think they should include in a way the Sailor Stars song in Cosmos.

I hate them calling that song Makenai. It's named Sailor Stars Song, at least respect the title please.
A lot of people have called it this for years and it's still annoying.

Since we are talking about Stars and Cosmos.

I tend to think that Sailor Mau and Planet Mau are likely from Lyra Constellation since the esoterics call Lyra as where Cat like Aliens live, making her have much more in common with Venus, I think she might be the Sailor Senshi of Sound/Music aside from Cats but her symbol will be similar to Mercury.

I really hope they will use Sailor Star Song, it was written by Takeuchi after all and lyrics are totally related to this season so it would make sense. Same for the 3 lights song, and lyrics appear in the manga if I remember correctly ?

I’m curious if Starlights are going to be more likable in this version. I didn’t like their voices, personality and they were most of the time weirdly drawn in Stars but maybe this new version will change the way I view them ? It’s going to be hard to make Maker worst than she was before anyway lol

I'm hoping they don't modernize it just like SG's version of Moonlight Densetsu. Or at least have a version of it more similar to the original then have the modern version on CD.

I don't know. In the manga they're not characters, only a plot device like Kakyuu to give Usagi info about Shadow Galactica, after that they die.
Well, everyone in that arc bar Usagi is a plot mechanism to help the latter develop as a japanese woman till she gets married.

If you prefer the printed version of those three, yes you're gonna like them in Cosmos.

I recently saw this scetch on tumbl. It was posted by Munehisa Sakai as some key visual to the second arc that got axed later on and as it was posted by him, people think he was the one who drew it too. Looking at it I start wondering how much of Yukie Sakou's sins were actually her own decisions.
Does Sakou know what a vanishing point is?

The Manga is less sexist because Usagi gains the status that Galaxia has in the Anime, although the biggest problem is that it is written very ambiguously, I would like a sixth season of the 90s anime that shows Usagi in her action as Queen or Princess of the Solar System after losing her transformation (just like Kakyuu) and her Senshi doing everything and the other Senshi upgraded to Eternal form.

Well Stars made me actively disliking Healer and Maker so even if they don’t really have a big importance in Cosmos, it will be a progress for me if I’m only neutral towards them

I know some people are very vocal against Fighter too, because of her « predatory behavior » to Usagi (if I recall correctly the idea), but honestly I kinda liked their relationship so she’s the one that is savable in the old anime for me.

I’m anyway curious to hear their voices and see how they are drawn, even if I know they will be very useless in the end. I kinda hope I will like them a little better than 30 years ago (even if it’s just graphically), but I guess it’s Toei so I’m probably bound to disappointment in the end ^^

This is an unpopular opinion, but a sixth season showing Usagi as a queen and the inners kissing the ground she walks on would be boring, like the new adventures of Chibimoon & the Quartet many fans desperately want.

Lol Wait for the marketing team selling the Three Lights as the main characters of Cosmos. Casual fans will get disappointed at the cinema when they'll see these characters devoid of story and personalities are as interesting as a bucket.

I'd love for them to use the Sailor Stars song sung by Mitsuko Horie or have her do something for the film.

The lyrics for Nagareboshi He in the manga are different IIRC.

Yoko Ishida did a Sailor Star Song live version that was nice during one of the symphonic concert.
I wonder if they will keep Mitsuko for Galaxia. I think her singing skills are a bit off now but she did voice acting with Usagi’s VA in the latest symphonic concert and her voice didn’t change that much, she was still quite good. But maybe they will end up recruiting some newbie as they did with Neherenia (she was a model iirc ?).

Usagi lost the Tiare so basically she is done as Sailor Moon, she can still fight as the Princess/Queen as Kakyuu did, so the Senshi don't do all the fighting.

Perhaps we can have Maaya Sakamoto as Galaxia.

I don’t know, Chibiusa’s arc was one of the most satisfying for me in both the manga and new anime out of all the characters. Probably because she wasn’t given the same reverence as her mother so she was allowed to
have real flaws. A series starring her I think has potential (and there seems to be a newish trend of manga and anime starring the children of the main cast so it doesn’t feel too much of a reach). Maybe have her with a different cast of Sailor Guardians since I think the Sailor Quartet have very few fans and instead of setting it in Crystal Tokyo, have her travel through time.

Yukie Sakou is the worst illustrator this franchise has ever had. She doesn't even know the fundamentals and her style is uterrly devoid of charm and appeal. Her drawings are always ugly, deformed, and uncanny-looking. Honestly, drawings for bootleg Sailor Moon merchandise look better than her art.

Probably because she wasn’t given the same reverence as her mother so she was allowed to
have real flaws.
Manga Usagi is actually much more realistically flawed than 90’s anime Usagi though. Her jealousy towards Chibi-Usa is taken as an actually serious and dangerous, thing, she’s forced to acually confront these ugly feelings inside of her during the Black Moon Arc and grow as a person as a result of them. In the beginning of the manga her cowardice and spoiled nature as a Princess is outright deconstructed as she selfishly repeats the same mistake that she did in her past life - commits suicide when all looks lost and nearly wasted the precious second chance at life Queen Serenity offered her and the Senshi.

Not to mention that even at the very end she has the realization to admit to herself that she was never actually fighting for “pure” reasons like love and justice like she convinced herself, but rather simply to selfishly protect HER people and preserve the peaceful life she’s always wanted for them. This is why Manga Usagi was often needlessly cruel and merciless towards her foes compared to her anime counterpart, she was too short-sighted, selfish and immature to even offer her enemies the chance at redemption because she was always only thinking about how it’ll affect HER life first and foremost and simplistically dividing good and evil into this rigid Black & White binary with which she needs to cleanse the world from in order to establish her perfect utopia rather than accept Chaos into her heart and the lives of everyone - because she eventually realizes that Chaos is ultimately just the same as her, a lonely star seeking companionship and completion.

Chaos is not the enemy, it is simply a fact of life, and she spent too much time trying to run away from her problems and denying it’s place in the world rather than accepting and embracing it. (We even get a glimpse at an incredibly flawed/morally grey far future version of Usagi in the form of Cosmos who had become as Machiavellian Ruthless and Jaded as the 90’s anime Outers themselves and was willing to risk throwing the existence of the entire universe at stake just for a chance to end the existence of suffering and evil itself - this is who Manga Usagi would’ve eventually turned into if she hadn’t had that important realization at the Cauldron by staring Galaxia straight in the face and seeing herself in her.)

90’s anime Usagi by contrast is much more so “superficially flawed.” As in, her flaws are never presented as actual flaws that hurt her own moral character but are more like Moe quirks that are just there to make her look cute. While Manga Usagi is more of a “Status Sue” (i.e. the type of Mary Sue whom the whole universe revolves around) 90’s anime Usagi is a straight up Purity Sue and is always characterized as the ever picture perfect paragon of pacifistic and Jesus-like forgiveness. She is never allowed for her views to actually be challenged or to display any real darkness in her heart, not really. While Manga Usagi had to eventually grow into the realization that fighting was never the answer by confronting the ugly side inside of her, 90’s anime Usagi is endowed with this mindset from the very beginning and is proven right over and over again as she even manages to displace the actual most powerful/important Senshi of the Galaxy by becoming literal Jesus of our entire Solar System itself.
