I think @sapphire91 is right that overall it won’t make a major difference since Crystal has a very clear established formula in following the manga closely. None of the story or pacing issues are going to change. However, I think there probably will be a subtle difference in regards to how scenes are storyboarded and maybe overall visual direction.
Kon’s storyboarding overall seemed not that great especially compared to Sakai (his one strength in Season 1 and Season 2). Her episodes in Season 3 were lackluster, and she didn’t even try with Eternal by literally copying each frame of the manga instead of trying to come up with her own compositions. From what I can gleam from the trailer for Cosmos, while the scenes are pulled directly from the manga there are some key differences so there’s at least that. There’s also certain scenes that seem more stylized than Crystal ever was like the one with Chibi Chibi falling from the sky.
