Kinda disappointed it relies too heavily on stock footage. Even Season 1 had it's best moments not relying on them.

Well when you think about it they should have done these villain henshin and spell stock footage for 90s Stars.

At least it's better than the Eternal films.

I guess this flashback would explain the reason why Galaxia hated and left her planet.

It's pretty likely this scene is a metaphor to that. I guess it's never explained how she survived to that attack.
I guess it's supposed that she was only violently/sexually assaulted but not killed?

Thank you, Jawshx, for your reviews. :) I've added "[SPOILERS]" to the thread title just in case anyone misses/skips the word "Review." lol

Well..... Let's look at the bright side, at least the reboot has served to show the japanese animation fans of the world that a faithful adaptation of a manga is not always good.
Sailor Moon Stars(Manga) - Sailor Crystals = Utena Manga - Coffins
If the Utena manga gets adapted into anime we will see those parallelism but people will be angry about Juri being straight in the reboot, in the reboot based on the manga if that even happens.:rofl:

Well this has been a shhht show. Shame on all parties involved in making crystal and eternal and cosmos (jeez they couldn’t just keep it as crystal seasons 1- whatever)

I’m really disappointed that Sailor Cosmos didn’t get a grander transformation seeing as she’s supposed to be the huge ‘revelation’ of part 2.. then Chibi Moon gets the best stock despite her overall irrelevance to the plot.

I‘m surprised she even transforms. But I don‘t remember exactly how it was in the manga. Does she transform from Chibichibi to Cosmos? If yes, I don‘t think it should be a henshin scene, but more something like how Luna became human in the S movie.

@Jawshx how did you find the atmosphere, backgrounds, settings?

I absolutely agree. In the manga it's just ChibiChibi disolving into some lights and then Cosmos is suddenly kissing Usagi's cheek.

It shows her transforming from Chibi Chibi to Cosmos in a flashback, but it’s not really a henshin. Then we get a proper henshin later.

The backgrounds were really nice, for the most part. Everything from Galaxia’s castle onward. Especially towards the end. The desert looked pretty drab though.

Overall the backgrounds were the most improved aspect in comparison to previous seasons.

I think he director should’ve focused less on creating stock footage and more on real-time action, considering it’s a movie. I was hoping for more stock in the vein of World Shaking but instead a lot of it is very choppy.

Does anyone know the details of the battle between the Sailor Starlights against Sailor Chi and Phi. Although I knew that the trio of sailors would lose, I wonder how their deaths happened?

The question is: Which is the best animated battle: Starlights vs Galaxia (199) or Starlights vs Chi & Phi (Cosmos)? :creeper:

Was there expanded lore for the rest of the Animamates? Or was it solely for Galaxia?

I honestly would like to hear more from Heavy Metal Papillon since she never had a chance to shine in the 90s. Don't care much for Phi, Chi, Mnemosyne and Lethe. I feel like when Naoko created them she was rushing. I find their designs not having that rock star anime feel as the first five have. I need to watch also the musicals. Titanium Kero and Pewter Fox looked cool and still follow that metal X animal theme.

She could have her own spinoff show since I think she's already got enough background info/materials for elaborations - from her article at WikiMoon (words bolded by me):
The Collection also gave several other, more personal facts about Papillon that were not revealed for the other Animamates. It is stated that she was very emotional and very sexual, was a samba dancer, and even had one (unnamed) child, thus making her the only Sailor Senshi known to have a child in canon besides Sailor Moon.

Sometimes I suspect that Naoko Takeuchi has some kind of strange relationship with Brazil

First, the Sailor Quartet comes from the Amazon jungle. Therefore, it is possible that they could be Brazilian. The majority of the Amazon forest (an estimate of 60%) is located in Brazil.

Second, Sailor Papillon is (1) a samba dancer (samba originated in Bahia and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and (2) her outfit is reminiscent of the opulent and extravagant costumes worn by people during Carnaval parades and parties in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

@Masquerade, what are your thoughts?

Is it only mentioned in the Materials Collection? ^_^'

Shame if it's not mentioned or shown in the film.

I find these spoiler trailers lacking in Animamate action.

I kinda want to know to what Healer's other spells are such as Star Healer Beam, Tornado and Wyrm. Shame they're also unused concepts.
