I just want more Sailor Moon no matter what it is. I feel like we're in a Sailor Moon drought and I'm desperate for anything just to have something to talk about with my friends and on social media.

You guys act like they didn't release enough Crystal merchandise when in actuality they released a lot of Crystal related merchandise:

- It had it's own cafe with Crystal related drinks, food, and exclusive merchandise, all the random merchandise they released through convenience stores in japan, they had a crystal stamp rally with stamps and prizes, they had crystal postcards and keychains and stickers that you could only get at Namja Town in Japan, they also released different cards, plush dolls, chips, vaccuum cleaners, sanitary napkins, CD's, DVD's, Blurays, stickers, stationary and notebooks, calendars, various figurines, clothing, MOOK (Magazine Book), puzzles, eyeglasses, chocolates, makeup bags, postcard set, clear files, lunch boxes, cups, and plates, T-card (store points card)....... and that's just Crystal related stuff released in Japan. There's also the Crystal merchandise released in other countries like the United States, Taiwan, China, Italy, The Phillipines, etc. Is that not enough?? ^_^' ^_^' ^_^'
Not enough! The classic Sailor Moon has new goods every week!
They should release SMC goods at least every 1 or 2 month!
Nno the classic serise thoes not get tnew goods every week. The average is twice a month . Three if they are lucky. In the begening , Crystal had two things a month. Why Classic had four things a month . Now things slow down.

You sound like a Sailor Moon addict - maybe you should seek some professional treatment.

Will Anime Matsuri be the place where we finally see the first trailer for the Dream arc movie? It sounds like they're almost done with the film. Hopefully we can still get a US release by either this summer or maybe sometime in the fall.

Would it be likely that they'd release such stuff overseas before in their home country?

Finished the Dream movie already? So soon? I hope the quality and story is decent. Though it may make sense. If the guy who does the music was possibly doing music for Sailor Moon, it's a really good sign because music and sound are things most often done in post production...or at least when the work is almost done, the voice acting nd sound engineering can be applied.

Though I'm not jumping on the sure thing ship, I am pretty anxious still. Might get a solid release date at minimum or...maybe even just a little snippet...(haha over exaggerated.)

I would expect the quality of the movies to be similar to the Digimon Adventure Tri movies. It would be a slight step up from the TV series but you should still expect a lot of stock footage, static backgrounds, and occasional off model character designs, though hopefully not as severe as a TV format. Just watch the first Tri movie on Crunchyroll if you want a good idea of what the Dream arc movies will likely look like.

The production quality in movies is always supposed to be better than in TV series, otherwise it'd be pretty ridiculous. lol

I saw some clips of the monsters transforming. I though it looked cute. I really like the cactus one into the flower. My favorite one so far was the Angelwoman one...looks like something Usagi would have in a Crystal power transformation....I like her design. It was a cute transformation.. :googly: I hope we see some new Crystal transformations like this though. I love how the Digimon transform with the communicator things (whatever they are)...

Hm, I want to go back and read the SuperS manga but I don't think they use wands in this one though.

Key words: Supposed to be. Some parts of Digimon Tri looked pretty bad, Part 2 in particular being the worst I have seen with it's 3-7 second stills and visual novel quality.

If I'm entirely honest, I felt like Toei's recent Digimon spin off series, Appmon, looked a lot better than Digimon Tri did. If it's not Dragon Ball or PreCure, the general rule of thumb is to assume you got the short end of the stick. But with Chiaki Kon directing, hopefully it will have about the same quality we got with season three, but I wouldn't expect the movies to look like a Ghibli film or something.

There are some Precure movies that look like ass too. Nothing is truly ever safe when it comes to Toei, honestly.

You don’t seem to understand what a bad frame looks like.

Other than the Saint Seiya 3D/CGI flick, I hear that TOEI movies have very good quality. I really think they are gonna do things right this time.

Note: the problem with the Saint Seiya 3D/CGI flick allegedly was that fans preferred 2D and that the adaptation felt too compressed (the original arc took several chapters of the manga).

Saint Seiya's 3D film was visually STUNNING. Most fans rejected it because their favorite characters got no spotlight, were heavily redesigned, or got their gender changed.
But the actual animation quality was great, same for Dragon Ball films.

OT: Bored of waiting for news on the new films.

No surprise considering they also rejected Lost Canvas because they were not the same as Shingo Araki's designs.

From what I have seen, it does at least look better than the Captain Harlock CG film.

As for Dragon Ball, that's debatable. Battle of Gods was good but Resurrection F could have been so much better if not for Yamamuro screwing things up.

That's why they should've kept an art style that was similar to Araki's.
The Lost Canvas is easily the best written version of the franchise, but Shiori's designs, although considerably better than Kurumada's, were off-putting, as they were the polar opposite of Shingo's delicate, feminine style.
If the animated version of TLC had character designs like Soul Of Gold, it would've been a huge success; it is a much better story than the original series and the manga, after all.
Maybe TOEI not being a part of the project had something to do with it, and they had no other option than to keep Shiori's style.
As for DB, both recent movies are fine, and at no point the animation looks off.
