There is one thing that bothers me: in one hand, it’s totally normal for her to be picky with what is done with the manga, she is the creator and has every right to do that.
But in the other hand, from what we saw, she is also the one curating all the original anime rights and taking all decisions about it (approving DVD box like the Talk Boxes which were canceled because of her iirc, approving Marco’s art, etc…). Sure she is the owner of the rights so she supposedly can do whatever she wants with them… But creatively speaking the original anime is not her work, she wasn’t involved in the main decisions, and I don’t really like that she is the one holding all the power about it whereas it’s not her piece of work, artistically speaking.
Do we have other examples of mangaka holding the whole TV series rights or is it usually shared with the animation studio / channel / whatever ?
