The strange thing is why are they only distributing S in Latin America?
First it was for airlines and now Netflix, but why only S???

BTW this is a good sign Netflix distributing Crystal, the movies and the classic series online might mean they might have produced the last arc.

but either way any announcement of the new arc might have gotten delayed because of TOEI hack
Considering the Netflix deal involves all of Latin America, the reason for that is simple: issues with the Brazilian dub. While Toei has the Latin Spanish dub in its entirety, the Brazilian Portuguese dubs for Classic and R are lost.
And they aren't willing to bother spending money on a new dub. That may sound weird, but that's how cheap Toei is.

Netflix losing 200,000 subscribers. Not sure how this is going to affect the :usagi: franchise in the future. May be it's a wake up call to the Netflix executives. I rarely watch Netflix these days. Last 2 years I did watch it frequently just to watch new anime and a few sci fi shows like Star Trek Discovery.

Still Mark Zuckerberg's so called metaverse is still the biggest loser.

Sailor Moon S coming to Netflix Brazil on May 18.
They're calling the senshi "guardiãs". SInce they never went by this name in official dubs/subs, even in Eternal, the summary is probably a translation from an English source.

Is it true that the brazilian portuguese dub of the first two seasons is lost? Shame. Now that Netflix seems to have the rights they could've made a new dub for the entire show. They have enough money. I don't understand why only the US has the privilege. :nope:

Yeah, it's true. I feel bad for Classic, but I don't mind R because its dub absolutely sucked. So did the dub of rest of the seasons, but they are a bit less unbearable.
Netflix doesn't have the distribution rights for anything other than Eternal, so a redub depends on Toei. It's their own fault and cheapness. They didn't get the merchandise revenue they expected both times Sailor Moon aired on Brazilian TV, so everything they do with the franchise here since the 2010 revival has little to no investment. I'm sure Netflix would have made a complete redub if they were in charge of distribution, though. They are buying S, Crystal and the 90s movies because they know Sailor Moon is popular here as well.

^ It looks hilarious that the guy sitting at the back of the float is looking at his phone while the girls are waving at the crowd, as if his surroundings have nothing to do w/ him. :P

My friends and I were there yesterday. It was fun but excruciatingly long. By the time they arrived we were exhausted.

^ Just the same as the very typical scene of an idol girl group leaving the venue of their performance to board a waiting van. lol

If only the local Japanese market had the same kind of enthusiasm for the Eternal films.

One could totally imagine what the actresses would say once inside their van, like "@#%* fans." XD
From what I've known of Japanese swear words you have to put emphasis and emotion on them or local people in Japan will think your crazy.

There's a whole range of videos just by typing 'japanese swear words' on Youtube like this one.
